- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR11.1 the old adage of one brings two hold true! Joy stabs with hard hands, but is beaten by the drift as the ball takes the inside edge and lobs off the pad to short leg where Latham takes a dolly. 29/210.3 dear me, that ain't gonna make the coach happy. Zakir has given it away. Chips down the track and looks to wallop Santner over the infield but doesn't quite get to the pitch of the ball and ends up skewing it to Williamson at mid-on. Early gift for New Zealand. 29/114.6 Flattish and fullish, honing into off stump. Shanto looks for the reverse again but this time, plays all around it. Gets pinged on the pads but the umpire, despite Santner's pleas, is unmoved. Impact could have been an issue, although Santner has convinced Southee to review. Clear gap between bat and ball, and the third umpire does not take long to conclude there is no bat involved. Ball Tracking coming up now...and the impact is in line with off stump. The projection then has the ball hitting middle stump, one-third of the way up, and Santner has his second! 47/413.4 edged and taken! New Zealand have their third! Darted in again, and this pitches on a good length just outside off. Mominul perhaps plays the trajectory and stays back, looking to go square on the off side. The ball spins into him, though, and kisses the inside edge before being pouched sharply by Blundell. Might have been better served playing it a little straighter but too late for that now. Bangladesh are three down inside 14 overs and are reeling! 41/340.4 Mushfiqur is in trouble here. He's pushed the ball back away with his gloves after defending it. The umpires converge and have sent it upstairs to check for 'obstructing the field'. The third umpire is satisfied that Mushfiqur stopped the ball deliberately and has been given out. Why did he do it, though? Surely the ball wasn't anywhere near the stumps. Maybe it was just instinctive. He nearly did it earlier in the session, but couldn't quite resist this time. Bonus wicket for New Zealand. 104/548.6 Shahadat has been strangled down the leg side, would you believe it!? Another shortish delivery that may just have pitched outside off. Spins into Shahadat a great deal, though, and he, trying to help it behind square, is a touch cramped for room. All he can do in the end is tickle it through to Blundell, who moves sharply to his left and snaffles it up. Bangladesh six down now, and New Zealand, after a brief lull, have two wickets in relatively quick succession! 123/657.1 Mehidy bites the dust too! Plenty of revolutions on this delivery as it pitches on a length just outside off. Bites off the surface, and the extra turn and bounce make it very difficult for Mehidy. He pokes at it away from his body and gets a thick outside edge that is gobbled up by Mitchell at first slip! 145/854.2 what a soft dismissal! Dangles the carrot outside off and Nurul bites. Looks at the air and thinks he can go inside out but he is not to the pitch of the ball. Grips in the surface too and spins back, meaning that it comes off the inside half of the bat and lobs up to Santner at mid on. Very similar to what happened a ball ago, and this time, the ball was in the air enough to enable a dismissal! 135/762.2 appeal for lbw and it's given. Taijul has reviewed but it's hard not to see the pointlessness of it. The ball drifts in from around the stumps, Taijul anticipates this one to rip away - like it did in the previous over - but this one goes straight on with the arm and hits his pad. No shot offered and it's a simple decision for the umpire. Ball tracking confirms this would've hit off, three reds and Taijul has to walk back. 154/966.2 looks like Shoriful has nicked it, but no one except Blundell's really under the impression that it's out. But upon a polite enquiry, the umpire's check with the third umpire to see if it was a bump ball. There's no doubt whatsoever that Shoriful nicked that in trying to waft at a harmless length ball. Third umpire Ahsan Raza has a couple of looks and confirms he's satisfied the gloves are totally under the ball. So that's the end of that. Bangladesh bowled out for 172. 172/10Extras14 (b 9, lb 5)TOTAL172 all out (66.2 Overs, RR: 2.59, 275 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-29 (Zakir Hasan, 10.3 ov), 2-29 (Mahmudul Hasan Joy, 11.1 ov), 3-41 (Mominul Haque, 13.4 ov), 4-47 (Najmul Hossain Shanto, 14.6 ov), 5-104 (Mushfiqur Rahim, 40.4 ov), 6-123 (Shahadat Hossain, 48.6 ov), 7-135 (Nurul Hasan, 54.2 ov), 8-145 (Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 57.1 ov), 9-154 (Taijul Islam, 62.2 ov), 10-172 (Shoriful Islam, 66.2 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR6.2 he's got him? Or has he? The umpires want to check if this carried. Nurul Hasan thinks there's no doubt whatsoever. What we do know is that Latham has got some bat on this, possibly the bottom edge as this keeps low. Nurul had to stay really low and hardly rise because of the lack of bounce but he does wonderfully well to grab that. Bangladesh have struck early and New Zealand are under the pump. 150th Test wicket at home for Taijul 22/25.3 there's the big wicket and it's with one that doesn't turn. Conway shoulders arms to a delivery anticipating it to rip away, but this skids through to crash into the off stump. A millisecond's misjudgment has cost him. 20/111.2 oh my days, what a catch this is! A proper game-changing moment! Looped up on a length just outside off, and this bites off the surface. Bounces extra, meaning that despite Williamson's best efforts to roll his wrists and keep it down, the ball pops up off the higher part of the bat. Short leg has plenty to do, with the ball dying low to his right but he flings out his right mitt nonchalantnly and snares it. Bangladesh are elated; New Zealand completely rattled! 46/48.5 Nicholls falls too! Given a hint of air on a full length outside off, and Nicholls' eyes light up. He comes down the track, looking to go over mid on but gets too close to the ball. Cannot generate the elevation and arrows it straight to Shoriful at mid on, who dives low to his right and completes the catch! 30/321.4 wow, what a catch by Mehidy! This could really turn things around. He was placed about halfway back towards where long-on would have been placed. Mehidy ran across to his left before diving to grab this behind the man who was turning around and running behind from mid-off. Terrific take, as Mitchell skipped down and lofted with high elbows at this fullish ball on the stumps. I think Mitchell didn't quite get to the pitch of the ball, even as he lost his bottom hand 95/611.4 that is plumb! Mehidy Hasan Miraz is on a roll, and Bangladesh are all over New Zealand like a rash! Fired in quick on a length on middle and off. Seems like Blundell plays the trajectory rather than the length. Goes back and on a surface that is not bouncing consistently, that is a recipe for disaster. Cannot get his bat down in time and the ball smashes into the pads. The umpire raises his finger, and Blundell, after a chat with Mitchell, does not bother with the review! 46/536.4 edged and taken! Phillips falls! Full just outside off and like the ball that got Jamieson, this might have straightened a smidgen too. Phillips tries to go downtown but the slight deviation means that the ball kisses the outside edge and nestles into the keeper's gloves. Phillips was not happy about something, not sure what that was, but Shoriful, audibly and visibly, was quite pumped! 180/923.3 edged to first slip! Nayeem has his second within two overs. Coming in from around the wicket, he angles one in, bowling full around off stump. The ball turns away, taking the outside edge after Santner looked to defend. The ball was dipping towards Shanto, and he grabbed that well. New Zealand losing their way after some early blows today 97/732.2 the move works for Bangladesh, Shoriful breaks the partnership! Back of a length delivery in the channel and this might have just straightened off the surface. Jamieson nibbles at it without any foot movement and gets a healthy outside edge. The ball floats low to Shahadat's left at first slip, who does well to get his hands under it and send Jamieson packing! 152/837.1 Southee bites the dust too, NZ bowled out for 180! Back of a length delivery outside off, and Southee thinks it is short enough to play the pull. The ball holds in the surface, though, and bounces extra, meaning that he cannot control his stroke. Shanks it towards long on, and Mehidy does the rest. Just the eight-run lead for NZ in the end, and this game is now set up beautifully for what looks like a one-innings shootout! 180/10Extras11 (b 5, lb 5, w 1)TOTAL180 all out (37.1 Overs, RR: 4.84, 165 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-20 (Devon Conway, 5.3 ov), 2-22 (Tom Latham, 6.2 ov), 3-30 (Henry Nicholls, 8.5 ov), 4-46 (Kane Williamson, 11.2 ov), 5-46 (Tom Blundell, 11.4 ov), 6-95 (Daryl Mitchell, 21.4 ov), 7-97 (Mitchell Santner, 23.3 ov), 8-152 (Kyle Jamieson, 32.2 ov), 9-180 (Glenn Phillips, 36.4 ov), 10-180 (Tim Southee, 37.1 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR32.6 Five-for for Ajaz and Zakir departs. Was fuller on middle stump. He gets across looking for a sweep, gets a top edge and a bit of glove as well. The ball lobs straight up and a simple catch is snapped up by leg slip. Ajaz thanks the almighty with a sajda. 128/90.3 taken by Mitchell at first slip! He took in on the second attempt though. The ball went rather quickly on to his chest, and as he looked to grab at it, it fell off. But he stuck his right hand out in front to grab it one-handed while tumbling forward. Ajaz angled this length ball into the right-hander, pitching it on off, and getting it to turn and bounce. Mahmudul stabbed at it away from his body, and got an outside edge 3/17.5 chipped to mid-off! Williamson, placed relatively close in, takes it reverse cupped. Not sure if this shot had anything to do with Shanto's injury as he looked to hit his way out, but he went after lofting this length ball angled into him. It pitched in the channel outside off and came back in, hitting Shanto's bat on the higher side 38/214.6 that looks plumb! Flatter and quicker on a back of a length just outside off. Skids through and does not bounce as high as Mominul was expecting either. He tried to manufacture a pull but the ball was never too short for that stroke. Got pinged on the pads, right in front of off stump, and the umpire had no hesitation in raising his finger. No review either, and that was perhaps the right call! 71/317.4 Santner gets Mushfiqur! Slightly quicker and definitely flatter on a length on off stump. Mushfiqur does not know whether to play at it or leave it. Might have thought it was going to turn but it keeps coming back in. Opens his bat face very tentatively to keep it out but only ends up guiding it straight to Mitchell at first slip. Looks at the pitch for an awful amount of time, but that is not going to help now. Bangladesh lose two in quick succession! 82/419.6 huge appeal, and given! Reviewed by Shahadat! Fuller than the last ball but this is slanted into middle and leg stump again. Shahadat perhaps plays for the turn and ends up playing down the wrong line. The ball misses the front pad altogether and smashes him on the back leg. Rod Tucker raises his finger but Zakir asks his partner to review. Looked pretty close prima facie, though. Nothing on UltraEdge. Ball Tracking coming up now...and it shows the ball would have thundered into leg stump, two-thirds of the way up. Bangladesh lose their fifth, and also lose a review. Santner has two in two overs! 88/524.1 Top-edge, top edge and Ajaz gets another wicket. Floated up outside off. Mehidy's eyes light up as he goes for an almighty cross-batted hoick. Gets a top edge that goes straight up. Santner runs back from the midwicket region and takes a comfortable catch, reverse-cupped. 97/624.4 Another huge appeal, the umpire raises his finger once more and Nurul reviews, again. This looks much closer. Yes, this is. Nurul was all at sea during his short stay. Ajaz keeps the line wicket to wicket and fuller on middle. Nurul looks for a lap sweep, misses and is struck bang in front. DRS confirms the ball would have hit middle stump. 97/729.1 Another one bites the dust. Nayeem goes this time around. Angles the ball on off and continues to come in. Nayeem stays in his crease, without a lot of foot movement. Nayeem plays with hard hands, gets a thick outside edge and second slip makes no mistake. A third wicket for Santner. 112/834.6 Six for Ajaz. Top work from the left-handed spinner. He hung in there and reaped the rewards. Floated up against outside off. Shoriful jumps down, looking for another biggie. Misses and Blundell does the rest. 144/10Extras11 (b 10, lb 1)TOTAL144 all out (35 Overs, RR: 4.11, 150 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-3 (Mahmudul Hasan Joy, 0.3 ov), 2-38 (Najmul Hossain Shanto, 7.5 ov), 3-71 (Mominul Haque, 14.6 ov), 4-82 (Mushfiqur Rahim, 17.4 ov), 5-88 (Shahadat Hossain, 19.6 ov), 6-97 (Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 24.1 ov), 7-97 (Nurul Hasan, 24.4 ov), 8-112 (Nayeem Hasan, 29.1 ov), 9-128 (Zakir Hasan, 32.6 ov), 10-144 (Shoriful Islam, 34.6 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR20.3 Latham vigil ends and that is a top catch from Shanto at first slip. Mehidy tosses the fuller-length ball outside off inviting Latham into a drive. He takes the bait and eyes a drive, does not reach the pitch of the ball and the outside edge is snapped up by Shanto low. 48/44.2 Conway is trapped right in front! Length delivery on middle and off stump that straightens and keeps pretty low. Conway is caught on the crease and cannot get his bat down in time. Gets pinned on the back leg, and the umpire raises his finger. Conway does not bother with the review either, and Bangladesh have the early scalp they were after! 5/19.5 Taijul rips out Williamson! Devilish delivery on a length on middle and leg stump that drops viciously on the batter. Williamson thinks he has gotten to the pitch of the ball but he is nowhere close. The ball fizzes past the outside edge and Williamson, because he has reached out so much, is now out of his crease. Nurul collects cleanly and then takes off the bails. NZ in a huge spot of bother now! 24/214.1 this is given! Full and slanting into off stump. Nicholls stretches forward but plays all over it as the ball beats him on the inside and keeps low. Looks pretty adjacent on first glance but Nicholls, after a chat with Latham, reviews. No bat involved, and three reds on Ball Tracking. In fact, it would have hit the middle of middle stump, and Nicholls has to go. Takes a review along with him too! 33/326.5 Loud, loud appeal for a catch. Bangladesh are celebrating like anything. Nurul belts out a looooong appeal. The umpire stays unmoved. Bangladesh have taken a review. Mitchell plays the reverse sweep to the fuller-length ball outside off. Did he get some glove on it? Oh, he did! Excellent review from Bangladesh and an excellent catch from Shanto who had to dive forward at first slip. Mitchell falls and New Zealand are now in deep trouble. 69/621.4 He didn't the edge the previous ball, does this time around. Taijul keeps the ball on a length and spins it sharply. Blundell once again draws his bat out, and gets the faintest of outside edges. 51/5Extras1 (b 1)TOTAL139/6 (39.4 Overs, RR: 3.5, 171 minutes)Fall of wickets: 1-5 (Devon Conway, 4.2 ov), 2-24 (Kane Williamson, 9.5 ov), 3-33 (Henry Nicholls, 14.1 ov), 4-48 (Tom Latham, 20.3 ov), 5-51 (Tom Blundell, 21.4 ov), 6-69 (Daryl Mitchell, 26.5 ov)
