11.5-pm That's that, then. Nepal go out of the Asia Cup, but they go out having shown a glimpse of the potential their young squad has in abundance. India move into the Super Four alongside. Who will join them from Group B? We'll find out tomorrow when Afghanistan take on Sri Lanka. Do join us for that. Until then, goodbye!

Rohit Sharma, winning captain and Player of the Match: "To start with, there were some nerves, but once I got my eye in, I wanted to cash in and get my team home. [On the flick-sweep:] I just wanted to chip it over short fine leg, there was no intention to clear deep backward square leg, but bats these days are so good. When we came here, in the back of our mind we knew what our [World Cup] 15 would look like, except maybe one or two spots. We can't really look too much into these two games, one was washed out, but luckily we got to bat in the first game and bowl in this one. We haven't been at our best, but a few guys are coming out after months out of the game. Once we move ahead in the Super Fours, there's no room for complacency. First game, under pressure, Hardik and Ishan got us into a good position. Today our bowling was okay, but fielding was below-par."

Rohit Paudel: "Our openers did a very good job for us. In the middle order we could have done better. We were maybe 30-40 short. If we had done better in that phase, we could have got 260-270. In the last 4-5 months our lower order has done a great job, we are very proud of them. I think in these conditions it was really hard because of the dew, but our bowlers did really well."

Shubman Gill: "Quite disappointed with the way I got out day before yesterday. Important that I finished it off tonight with Rohit bhai, and we did it. He likes to take the bowlers on aerial, and I like to hit more boundaries than sixes, so we complement each other."

Arnab: "We dodged a bullet there in the Pakistan match. A sub par total batting first and then a wet ball in the 2nd innings...this ind vs nep match is a good example..."

11.31pm Phew. A long, long day even though we've only had 68.3 overs of actual play. But a result at the end of it despite all the rain. And India will be relieved, even though the margin is a comprehensive 10 wickets. They were off-colour on the field, dropping multiple catches including three in the first five overs, and things could have gotten tricky before their openers put the game to bed. A creditable display from Nepal, particularly with the bat. And they had the worst of conditions with the ball, having to bowl with a wet ball for most of the innings, so you can't really judge them too harshly despite the punishment they took from Rohit and Gill.

Gulsan Jha to Shubman Gill, FOUR, and that is that. Drifts onto the pads, and Gill glances it neatly and very fine. No stopping that one, or this partnership once India were set their revised target
