That's that from us tonight. Thanks for joining us. Do join us for the fourth T20I on the 31st in Pune. Cheers
It's time for the presentations
Varun Chakravarthy is MoM for his 5-24. "Sad that we didn't make it in this match but that's the nature of the game, got to move on. Of course when you're playing for the country, got to take up some accountability, able to do it to a certain extent. Hope to do it well. I don't complain [on one-over spells] - there have been times when Surya bowls me four on the trot, mentally ready for what he throws at me. Been working on a flipper, coming out well. Maybe on this stage, the best I've bowled, but I can definitely get better."
Jos Buttler: The guys bowled really well, nice to show off their skills. Adil - he's the most important player in our team, so many variations, so many different styles of bowling, fortunate to have him in our team. Jofra - don't need to talk much about him - he's a super star, incredibly consistent, if he goes for 60 you know he'll come back well. Ben Duckett is a difficult guy to stop, that's why we felt he can do a job for us at the top. He played beautifully on what was a sticky pitch. 170 was a very good score, those wickets were crucial in the power play. 127-8 doesn't bother me, if they say you can be disappointed with the way you play and score 170, I'll take that.
Suryakumar Yadav: I felt there'll be a little bit of dew. With Hardik-Axar batting and us needing 55 off 24, still felt we had the game in our hand. Credit to Adil Rashid, wanted to rotate strike, he didn't let us, that's why he hs a world class bowlers. We always learn from a T20 game, conceding 170 from 127 for 8 was too much. Batting also, we have a few things to learn. Good to see Shami bowl like that. Varun's one guy who has been working very hard, has good discipline that's why he's got the results.
10.27pm Game, set and match to England. They come back from nowhere to win this one. Remember they were 127 for 8, before Livingstone added 45 with the last two. Those runs have turned out to be absolute gold in the end as England have pulled off a 26-run win. The series is still alive as we head into Pune.
India never really got going in the chase, lost too many wickets too early. Hardik Pandya struggled on the face of some outstanding bowling from Overton and Carse, and in the end let the asking rate spiral way out of control before he simply had to go for broke. Adil Rashid was outstanding too.
Varun Chakravarthy may have thought the five-for would've ended in a win. Tells you all we need to know about the fickle-nature of T20 cricket.
Adil Rashid: [On the sharp-turner to get Tilak]: Bowled exceptionally well as a unit, that ball spun, gripped and spun through the gate. As you play more, get more experience, you start developing certain things. My strengths is to mix things up, last couple of games have gone my way. It looked fairly slow, low when we were batting. Had to adjust as a bowling unit to see if pace on or pace off worked. Got the result.
