5.45 pm: So there you have it. All eyes are now on the Adelaide match between Pakistan and Ireland. If Pakistan win, they go through. If Ireland win, then they go through. However, if the match ends in a tie, then Ireland and Pakistan go though. Who will you be supporting then? Hope you enjoyed this match-up between the UAE and West Indies. Till the next game, this is Rohan Sharma signing off for ESPNcricinfo.
Jason Holder, West Indies captain/Man of the Match: The ball came out really well for me at the start, also got some good bounce. Just concentrated on bowling in the right areas. It was a bit slow, but I was happy to get some movement. Extremely pleased with how the games came out to play. It was a must-win and we were able to accomplish it. We had to show the intent and try to finish the game before 36 overs, which we were able to achieve. NZ are obviously playing some very good cricket, so we will look ahead to that if we are able to make it to the quarter-finals.
Holder is the Man of the Match for his 4 for 27
Mohammed Tauqir, UAE captain: When they put us in to bat, they took good advantage of the bowling conditions. 40-odd for 6 was tough to recover from, but Nasir and Amjad batted well in the end. Amjad has been very consistent for us throughout the tournament, both with the bat and ball. So some positives from this World Cup. We have the T20 World Cup qualification ahead of us in July. It was a decent performance from us in this tournament. It was a good learning experience for us. It was very enjoyable, but there was a lot of traveling to do (chuckles).
5.27 pm: It is quite simple now for the West Indies. They have to hope that, first, the game between Pakistan and Ireland, which is happening live right now, doesn't end in a tie in order to get through as the fourth-ranked team in Pool B, regardless of the win margin. We will be back shortly with quotes from the match presentation. along with the announcement for Man of the Match. Don't forget that there will also be a live showing of Match Point on the main homepage.
5.25 pm: In the end, the West Indies, despite some troubling periods during the match, are able to get over the line and ensure they got both the win, and the boost in their overall NRR. Johnson Charles (55), Jonathan Carter (58*) and Ramdin (33*) were instrumental in this middling chase. Holder has a big smile on his face as Sammy and him embrace in the dressing room.
Not all impressed with this West Indies performance today, especially with the kind of start they had earlier in the day. They have been quite pedestrian here towards the end of this chase too.
