A comfortable win for Bangladesh, and they're now on six points. The race for the quarter-finals has intensified in Group B. England face West Indies on the 17th, while Bangladesh face a tough test against South Africa in their next match. Ireland take on South Africa tomorrow, and there's India waiting to take on West Indies. If West Indies beat England in Chennai, Bangladesh are through to the next stage.
Shahriar: "It's a good feeling to win. This game was very important for us, and it gives us a huge opportunity to reach the quarter-finals. Imrul has been in very good form, and he's carried his good form from last year into this one. The pitch was on the slower side. I am playing an international after a long time. We are looking to beat South Africa and qualify for the quarters. The West Indies-England game is not in our hands."
Presentation time
Borren: "We said we were going to play brave cricket, but we played bad cricket. We let ourselves down on a tough pitch. Not an easy wicket to rotate the strike but that's something we've worked hard on. The running between the wickets was disappointing. We have another game to go. Today was an opportunity but we didn't play to our standards. Ireland is a team we've played a lot of cricket against but we have to be on top of our game to beat them."
Shakib: "It was anervous game because we had to win to stay in the contest. The boys played well and kept up the pressure on Netherlands. The fast bowlers supported the spinners well. Abdur Razzak is a key bowler for us, and he always kept us in the game. We'll watch the West Indies-England game very closely, but we want to do well against South Africa."
Imrul Kayes is the Man of the Match
Imrul: "The wicket was not easy to bat on. I had to stay on the wicket after Tamim got out early. My role is to occupy the crease."
That's all we have for this game. Thanks for tuning in and sending us your feedback. Sriram Veera's done with his bulletin, so do check it out. Until the next time, it's goodbye from all of us. Oh, but there's another match happening in Pallekele. Zimbabwe are struggling against Pakistan. Bye folks.
