- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR13.2 Taken at mid-on1 Sri Lanka finally see the back of Bairstow! The pressure being built up over the last few overs tells as Bairstow looks to take this back of a length ball from outside off and hack it over mid-on. Does not get the height though, as the man in the ring moves quickly to his right and holds on to a good catch on the slide 68/36.3 huge appeal and the umpire is unmoved! Rinse and repeat from Mathews, perfect line and length, the ball tennis-ball-bounced up at the splice, confounding Malan's attempts to line up his stroke... it's so close to the edge... and it's a palpable snick! Sri Lanka's review was instant and indisputable! The old stager strikes! 45/19.4 shambolic run-out! There's that dangerous intent we were talking about... there was never a prayer, and though the third umpire takes a second opinion, Root is already off the ground by the time it's confirmed he's not in the frame! A floppy chop off the back foot, out towards point with no pace in the stroke, Root set off and was sent back. Disastrous calling between the Yorkshiremen! 57/230.1 heaved across the line, and Stokes holes out! Banged in short, he was instantly onto the offensive, but the ball got big on the stroke and the sub fielder Hemantha was well set in the deep! Barely had to move, and is that the game, is that the World Cup campaign dead and buried! 137/814.5 The skipper is gone! And it's courtesy a spectacular take from the Lankan skipper behind the stumps! This was back of a length, in the channel outside off. Buttler has a waft at this and gets a thick edge that Mendis grabs flying to his right 77/416.6 And there's another as the finger goes up for lbw! But Livingston wastes little time in reviewing. This was a good length ball nipping in from outside off, Livingston comes forward but is beaten and it goes and hits him above the knee roll on the back leg. Replays show umpire's call on impact and Livingston has to go. Sri Lanka are on a tear 85/524.4 loose from Moeen! Bang goes that theory of selective aggression... back of a length, a floppy punch up into the stroke, no pace on the ball and the most simple lobbed chance nestles in Perera's hands. It's Stokes or bust for England now! 122/625.5 flashed hard to point! Samarawickrama reckons he's clung onto a blinder here! It was wide outside off, Woakes climbed through his stroke, and it's very low to the ground as the fielder stoops to intercept... on first glance, Woakes might get the benefit here, hard to say there are fingers under the ball, although he stops the ball dead. It's a blurry moving image as the camera at square leg pans to capture the action... nope, the umpire is satisfied! Huge decision! England will be deeply unhappy with that, it was guesswork to be honest, but England have dug their own hole, they are now tumbling deeper into it! 123/731.5 Oh dear what's happened here?! It appears that Rashid is run out at the non-striker's end! That is sharp, sharp work from the Lankan skipper. This one slid down leg and Mendis collected as usual. But he noticed that Rashid was dozing having backed up and fires in a gun throw to the non-striker's stumps. It's a direct hit and England a nine down! 147/933.2 And that is that! And Theekshana gets a well deserved wicket to end the innings! Wood skips down the track but does not get anywhere near the pitch of it. It rips past the edge and Mendis effects an easy stumping. England are all out for 156! - BATSMENRBM4s6sSR1.5 England have an early scalp! This was a good length on off, and it just holds up a touch after pitching. Perera looks to work it onside with the angle but only manages a leading edge that loops up to mid-off. Just the start England would have wanted 9/15.2 Willey has his second and it's the big one of the Lankan skipper! This was full on the pads, and Mendis could've picked his spot but all he manages to do is top edge this attempted pick-up. It goes straight up and over the keeper. Buttler however keeps his eye on it as it swirls in the Bengaluru sky and completes a good catch 23/2Extras3 (w 3)TOTAL160/2 (25.4 Overs, RR: 6.23)Fall of wickets: 1-9 (Kusal Perera, 1.5 ov), 2-23 (Kusal Mendis, 5.2 ov)
