Tanwir Afzal: Ireland are experienced, they have home advantage as well and beating them gives us confidence. We believe that we had enough runs at the halfway mark. We had a bad start but I believe we can make it. Great win and we are all happy.

William Porterfield: We would have taken 129 any day. It went wrong in the second half. The pitches have been slow and we haven't adapted as a group.

Irfan Ahmed, Man of the Match: It was not easy to bat on the track. We just wanted to put the ball in the right areas. Beating Ireland gives us confidence.

5:45pm Amjad pumps his fist. Hong Kong have defended 129 for their second win of the tournament. Ireland looked to be well paced when Stirling and Porterfield got together and built a 43-run partnership. The chase, though, disintegrated quickly after the wicket of Stirling; Ireland went from 52 for 1 to 106 for 8, including losing four wickets in seven balls. Irfan nailed the yorkers at the death and Hong Kong's fielding was super sharp.
