South Australia 4 for 158 (Lehmann 43*, Cooper 38*) and 156 require 121 runs to beat Queensland 216 (Peirson 71, Zampa 4-57)
Scorecard
Jake Lehmann (43*) and Tom Cooper (38*) gave South Australia some chance of a successful fourth-innings pursuit against Queensland, who were all out for 216, after Adam Zampa restricted the Bulls' lead on day three of the Sheffield Shield match at Adelaide Oval.
The Redbacks stumbled early in their chase of 279 for victory and were in deep trouble at 4 for 92 when Callum Ferguson fell to Marnus Labuschagne's developing spin.
However Lehmann and Cooper steadied the innings, leaving the hosts with an opportunity to vault up the Shield table following Victoria's hiding at the hands of Jason Behrendorff and Western Australia in Perth.
Zampa had earlier finished with 10 wickets for the match to limit the Bulls, his first such haul in a first-class match and evidence of his development as a spin bowler. Chadd Sayers' three wickets helped take him past 50 wickets for the season with another two league matches to be played.
