Sixers are now nine points clear at the top of the BBL table. Scorchers move into sole possession of third place on 21 points by claiming a bonus point via the Bash Boost, breaking a four-way deadlock on 20 points with the Stars, Strikers and Heat. Come back tomorrow for more BBL coverage. That's all for now. Take care!

Man of the Match is Josh Philippe: "The plan was always to try to take it on in the first four overs and then read the situation of the game and take it as deep as possible. They got off to an absolute flyer so when we came out to bat, we wanted to take advantage and get ahead of the rate. I just feel super relaxed at the moment and that's when I play my best cricket, when I'm calm and relaxed. There's always a few nerves, especially against my old mates at the Scorchers but I try to stay calm. James Vince is a very calm man so it was very nice tonight to see him get back into form."

9.40 pm What a fightback by the Sixers. Scorchers won the first quarter of play, producing triple digits in the first 10 overs and then lost the last three quarters of the match as the Sixers contained them to less than 65 in the final 10 overs before a controlled chase spearheaded by a century stand between Josh Philippe and James Vince, who both scored half-centuries. Hughes and Christian get the Sixers across the line after both set batsmen fell very late, but by that stage the match was comfortably in hand for the Sixers. Scorchers can take consolation from the fact they claimed the Bash Boost Point courtesy of their blistering first 10 overs to start the match. Otherwise the Sixers were the dominant side on the night for the majority of play.
