Wes Agar: It's always a great time of the year around Christmas and putting on the blue again. I can't wait for the season to start. Shorty's been so good for us especially last year. He has really propelled and now hes' playing for Australia in two different formats in the winter and to come into this season, he's going to be great for us with the addition of some new players, hopefully we can fire. (On adjustment from red ball to white ball cricket) Personally, I find it okay, the hardest ball to hit in any form of cricket is the top of off stump, you nail that in the red ball, it's just adjusting to the variations, yorkers, slow balls and you only have a week to transition so it's more about honing in on them in the training days. Heat are coming off a great game up in Brisbane, they have got some good internationals, Colin Munro up top and Sam billings; two powerhouses, they have been great in international cricket and have been great in BBL over some time, I will be hoping to get them out early.

5:45pm: How ya goin'? Let's leave all our worries behind and immerse ourselves in some cricket as the home team Adelaide Strikers is set to face Brisbane Heat in the third match of BBL 13. I am Rvel (yes, that's a real name), and I'll be flying the commentary jet for this match

Strikers would want to leave behind the ghosts of last season when they lost five matches in a row after starting their campaign with a bang. On the other hand, Heat came so close yet remained so far from getting their hands on the silverware. They lost the BBL 12 final against Perth Scorchers, and once again, they have assembled a formidable squad for this year's edition. Colin Munro has been appointed as their new captain, and judging by his head-on batting approach, his mindset will likely rub off on his teammates

Heat got off to a brilliant start in the tournament's opener against Melbourne Stars and registered an emphatic 103-run win and it was Heat's captain Colin Munro who spearheaded the team magnificently and starred with an unbeaten fiery knock of 99 that got them to 214/3.
