7.40pm Here's the updated table with the Scorchers now up to second place. Hobart meanwhile are just one place off the bottom, though they're unlikely to face a lineup the calibre of the Scorchers every day. But on that note it's wrap from us, on behalf of Sudeep and the rest of the team this is Madushka signing out!
Andy C: "157* is the second highest 2nd wkt partnership in BBL history"
7.25pm So Perth Scorchers have once more proved their title credentials, reaffirming that they are indeed the side to beat. An unbeaten 157-run stand absolutely annihilated what looked like it could have been a tricky chase. Zak Crawley was unbeaten on a 46-ball 65, while Aaron Hardie bludgeoned 85 from 45. This meant that Chris Jordan's unreal 59 off 20 to revive Hobart's flagging innings has been relegated to but a footnote. Jason Behrendorff though, with his figures of 4 for 25 that ripped the spine out of the Hurricanes' batting, is the Player of the Match.
