Superb win by Hurricanes. They are looking ominous at the top of the table with a game in hand. Thanks for your company tonight.
Player of the match is Tim David: "Rare air for me. I'm usually sitting watching the boys score the runs. It's nice to get a few for a change. It was great to get them at a canter in the end. It's great for our net run-rate."
Hurricanes win by six wickets with 19 balls to spare. They claim top spot on the table. Tim David is in some amazing form. He finishes with 68 not out off 38. Chris Jordan played an excellent supporting hand. Ben McDermott wasn't needed after injuring his hamstring.
Jeevan: "Hurricanes have really come back strong in the tournament after the first match debacle of 74 all out. Normally, there is no coming back from such a low because of tight NRR situations. But they have done well by winning all other matches and even though they have a -ve NRR, will go through easily."
Afeef: "Tim David scored 29 off his first 27 balls, then he blasted 39 runs off his last 11 balls"
Ray: "Yes the Hurricanes bowled well, but the reality is that they were never really put under any pressure by the Thunder. Too much time spent dabbing the ones one twos, so the Hurricane bowlers weren't pressed into making errors."
David: "How the Thunder are missing Sams and Ferguson! Agar had one good surge over when the Stars were already down for the count. Since then, he's bowled 3 surge overs for 52 runs. And Hasnain today got Davided. It's what happens when your surge bowlers are too one-dimensional."
New ball needed. Third ball used this innings
