That's all of our BBL action for today. Don't forget to join us tomorrow for the Hobart Hurricanes vs. Melbourne Stars. I'm signing off on behalf of Ranjith, Thilak, and myself, Rashad. Adieu.

Player of the Match Jason Behrendorff: "Well, it's really exciting that we could get it done tonight. In front of a huge crowd again. So we love playing here at home, we're so lucky and we've got a nervous wait for roughly 24 hours now. (AJ Tye and a few senior players waving at the crowd) Well, there are a few of us that don't have a contract yet for next year. So we're not sure when it's gonna land. But we've been so lucky to play here for so long and whatever happens, we've had an amazing time here and it's been good fun. (Young Players coming up) It's certainly changing. It's a hard one though. We want to keep playing obviously for as long as we can and we love doing what we do. It's honestly to play in front of this crowd, is something special. But yeah, at times we do have to change. Mahli's going really well. So we'll see what happens. (Cooper Connolly) Well, that's the thing. If we do get through to the Finals he'll be sorely missed. I think he (Connolly) just got the golden bat as well. So he's had a stellar year and as you said, Cath is at least most of the crowd here tonight absolutely love him. So there are probably a lot of posters on a lot of kids' walls with Cooper Connolly now. (Watching the game tomorrow) That's a very good question (laughter). We might go somewhere together, to be honest. Yeah, hopefully, we do that maybe down the coast somewhere, there's a few nice spots down there."

Tonight was a heartbreaking night for Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers supporters. The host team was aware of the equation at the very beginning of the innings. The scorchers got the innings off to a flying start. They were going well until they lost two wickets in one over: Fanning and Hardie. Carey's rapid glove work and excellent game understanding contributed significantly to both wickets. Despite losing a few wickets, the batters remained calm and composed. Cooper Connolly scored 39 runs off 21 balls, including four sixes, to lead the Scorchers to victory. Ultimately, it took a strong team effort to chase down the goal in the allotted 18 overs, with each batter doing their tasks rather effectively. The Scorchers are presently ranked fourth in the points chart. However, they will have to wait for the results of tomorrow's encounter. If the Stars defeat the Hurricanes, the Scorchers will be eliminated from the competition.

Perth Scorchers won the match by 5 wickets

DJM Short to Connolly, SIX, Cooper Connolly finishes the game in style! Tossed up fuller length around off, down on one knee, lashed it over the bowler's head and dumped it over the sight screen!
