7.49pm Presentation
Scorchers captain Ashton Turner: "It's pretty surreal. This has been a long time in the making over the last 10 months, preparing and planning. To be able to put the best laid plans into practice over the last week, to be able to cap it off with a trophy is really satisfying. We have so much respect for the Sixers as a club and their values are what we can relate to. To Moises and to Greg, congratulations on your season and no doubt this won't be the last battle we have with you."
Sixers captain Moises Henriques: "It hurts. We had big plans. We wanted to come here and keep this Perth crowd relatively quiet but unfortunately we weren't good enough to do that tonight. It's an amazing atmosphere to be a part of and your boys did you proud tonight so well done to Ashton [Turner] and V [Adam Voges] on a terrific season and a terrific performance tonight."
Player of the final is David Payne: "I'm elated for the Perth fans. They're the ones who have made it final that it was. I'm delighted for the boys. It hasn't really sunk in but I'm sure it will over time. It was nervy but when you take a couple of wickets it calms the nerves. You always want to contribute and it was nice that I was able to do that tonight."
Ashton Turner on Fox: "This is a really satisfying feeling. There's been so much put in behind the scenes. We had high expectations and to be able to deliver on those expectations is great."
Jhye Richardson on Fox: "This gives you goosebumps. We've been so lucky as a frachise. We've gone batting heavy this year but we've had a clear plan and it's paid off. I'm proud of myself to get back from shoulder surgery to play Test cricket and then tick this off."
Finn Allen on Fox: "So proud of the group, this city, the fans, this feels amazing. That's the great thing about a two-year deal, you get a second year redemption. The boys have prepared well for the tournament and we're so pleased. Me and Bison were locked in. Just needed good cricket shots and we got it done."
7.38pm Scorchers win the title, claiming the BBL final by six wickets with 15 balls to spare. It wasn't perfect from Scorchers but they were far too good. David Payne and the bowlers set it up with the ball. Mitch Marsh, Finn Allen and Josh Inglis did the job with the bat.
Josh: "Hats off, Scorchers. How did you manage to defeat a team with both Starc AND Steve Smith?!!" They did it twice.
