9.49 pm Strikers canter to their third win in three matches. Thunder put in a far more respectable showing than the 15 all out that happened when these teams met the first time this season in Sydney, but they still finish on the losing side and now have just one win out of four matches to start their 2022-23 campaign.

Matthew Short is the Player of the Match for his half-century: "I think over the last couple of years we're definitely used to batting first and bowling second. The smaller chases are normally the hard ones. It was just sticking to our game. We play here really well, keeping it nice and simple. It was a bit of a slow start with the bat but having the experience of Lynny and Colin at the end, it's awesome to have the older heads and got us through. I did a lot of work with [Cameron White] over the last couple of years. Getting off to flyers early on and giving my wicket away after 30 runs, but Whitey has helped guide me through my innings, toning it down and just batting, taking the ones and twos and the odd boundary here and there. I know he's at the Sixers now but just learning from last year and building an innings. Using the short square boundaries here at Adelaide really helps me and some of my shots."

That's all for today's live coverage. Come back tomorrow for more BBL action. Until then, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!

Sandhu to Hose, FOUR, goes for yorker and instead sends down a shin high full toss on fourth stump that Hose reverse scoops over short third man and it bounces away to the rope.

Sandhu to Hose, 2 runs, slower good length ball follows him backing away from leg, tapped gently into midwicket for an easy two.

Doggett to de Grandhomme, 1 run, OUT, full and wide on the guideline, slices this to the sweeper for what should be a simple one but they try to come back for a dicey second and the relay from Sams to the keeper is in time to get the bails off with de Grandhomme four inches short.
