Scorer: MV Raghav | Commentator: Rvel Zahid

And that brings the end of the first match of today's double-header! Sydney Thunder will be pleased to register their first win of the season. Alex Hales and Cameron Bancroft set the platform in the powerplay, and then Jason Sangha and Oliver Davies chipped in as well, moving closer to the target and everybody contributed with the bat. However, the innings slowed down a touch in the middle overs but later, Daniel Sams went all guns blazing and raced to 22 off 13, while McAndrew was bullish in the end, finishing the game in a hurry. Webster bowled exceptionally well, picking up four wickets after thumping a becalmed fifty, but he just didn't get enough support from his teammates. Melbourne Stars were probably 10-15 runs short, as Zaman Khan and Daniel Sams bowled superbly in tandem, bringing the innings to a grinding halt at the death

And that wraps up our coverage of the first match. Thank you for your company. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, and our scorer MV Raghav

Dawson to McAndrew, SIX, How about that? McAndrew pumps Dawson over long-on for a mighty long six and finishes the game in an emphatic style! Sydney Thunder get over the line with 10 balls to spare and bag their first two points this season with a thumping win. They stayed one step ahead in this entire game and coasted home with five wickets in hand, convincing win, well-done! Stars played catch-up cricket and as a unit weren't that threatening and competitive.

Dawson to McAndrew, FOUR, round the wicket, length ball on off, he dances down the track and butchers it through extra cover who is a bit scruffy and leaks a boundary
