We're done for the day. On behalf of Sudeep and myself, I'm signing off.
Player of the Match Tom Rogers: "The other night we weren't too happy with how we executed it (Powerplay), so Fergus and I went back to the drawing board and really wanted to make an impression tonight. Great effort for the team to put the best foot forward and hopefully get the boys a win. And the boys in the middle took care of it. I think we put the ball in pretty good areas. A little bit of luckier times as well. I think that left-side catch from Seifert was an absolute Screamer! (Hattrick Chance) No, Obviously you want to tick that box off, right? I don't think it's coming from me. But I reckon Fergus got one in it. And it will be a hell of a celebration when he does."
Mustafa Moudi: "The entire Feedback was all about Ponting. He was be glad with such a tribute from Cricinfo on his 50th Birthday !!" Punter is undoubtedly having a great time celebrating his birthday with his family. If he has time, he will check the cricinfo communications and feel delighted.
Renegades, however, was cruising towards victory. How quickly they could seal the match was the question. They accomplished it with 66 balls left. Despite losing JFM's wicket early on, the Renegades had no more trouble chasing the 75-run target. Seifert scored 37 runs off of 19 balls to take the lead in the batting lineup. In addition to taking two wickets and being economical, Nathan Ellis was outstanding with the bowl in hand. However, the Hurricanes bowling unit was unable to defend the target because it was far too low.
Melbourne Renegades won the match by 6 wickets

Jamie: "Punter definitely has one of the best cricket brains around. In the Thunder game the other day on comms he said before Warner's first ball that the reverse sweep looked to be on. First ball and he nailed the reverse for 4. Bet he was pleased with himself after that. "
