Scorer: Sudeep Poojar | Commentator: Ekanth

Boxing Day cricket eh. It's gone on for over 14 hours. Has been a great day for the country overall. No shortages in the festive season. On that note, it's goodnight from me, Ekanth, and our scorer, Sudeep.

Nick Hobson, POTM: Guys set a platform. Sometimes you get stuck at the start in Perth. I got a roll-on and took it. It's a fickle role, finishing, today it came off but doesn't always happen. Crowd was awesome, we were joking how loud it was last over of our innings. We put a lot of importance on our fielding, Agar set the crowd alight with a run out.

9:43pm: Easy enough in the end for Scorchers. The final over with the bat got them over 160. With the ball, they got three powerplay wickets. A couple of run outs helped too. Just two starts - Renshaw and Bryant. - for Heat. Behrendorff, Kelly, and Tye got two-fors. Agar was good too, both with ball and in the field. A couple of early losses, which is rare for Scorchers, has been put behind for now. Heat's death bowling and top order were issues today, running too. They'll hope to turn that around.

Tye to Johnson, OUT, Yorker takes out leg stump. 135ks, Johnson cleared the front foot again and tried to drive over mid-on. Beaten completely.

Tye to Johnson, FOUR, Johnson finally connects with one, it's the beloved pull too. Shortish ball over the stumps, Johnson has ample time to clear his feet and ease a flat-bat pull over the infield

The physio had a chat and all are good to go

Tye to Johnson, no run, Edges a pull onto the helmet. Ump calls for the physio right away. Johnson's okay though. Replay shows it a short ball that actually beat the pull. Johnson made room, swivelled and got his eyes off while swinging the bat.

Tye to Johnson, no run, Shortish ball over off beats the pull

Final over, think there's an over-rate penalty. But 38 off 6 means it's just formalities

Kelly to Kuhnemann, no run, Goes again but this time the ball is a touch shorter and straighter. No contact

Kelly to Kuhnemann, FOUR, Shot of the day! That is reverse scooped technically, but it's more a paddle as it went straight behind the keeper. Picked up off a length too...
