10.45pm Right then, that's been a lot of drama here today, and in the end it's Thunder who will be rolling on while the Stars are left to wonder what they need to do to try and turn their season around. That's a wrap from us. This is Abhimanyu signing off.

10.40pm Sam Billings' run-out that wasn't, his innings that followed that lucky escape, Warner's baiting of Glenn Maxwell into going for a big shot early and Wes Agar's three wickets in an over to wreck Stars' chase are the big talking points today. Melbourne Stare are now none in five, while Sydney Thunder will be happy to get back to winning ways after losing their second game. They had a lot of good fortune, but they made it count, while also executing their plans brilliantly with the ball.

Player of the match Sam Billings: "Yeah there are still probably areas where we can improve. Ben Duckett played brilliantly, but couple of key wickets brought us right back in the game. I'm very competitive. Davey asked a couple of times the boys to show more energy on the field, and I think we can get better, that's me included. Just small margins can make a difference especially in tight games. [On his innings] I like to play a few balls, get used to the conditions, actually trying to stay still is something I've been working on. Especially against seam. We lost a few wickets but partnerships in the middle allowed us to power on till the end. [On the run-out incident] Pretty dopey moment for me to be honest. Quite bizarre, but sometimes you just need a little bit of luck and thankfully it was my night. Very tight competition, everyone seems to be beating everyone. Looking forward to getting on a bit of a roll now and using that momentum."
