That brings an end to today's BBL activity. I hope that was enjoyable to all of you. I'm signing off on behalf of Vairavan, Chetan, and myself. Good night.

Player of the Match Matthew Short: "(Tonight's win and performance) I mean, to be honest, I'm just happy to be out there back in the park. It's a nice feeling. to get the win. It's been a pretty frustrating season for the lads. It's nice to be back here in Adelaide and put on a show for the fans. (Missing last few matches) I'm frustrated. It's hard sitting on the sidelines, especially as Captain and you're trying to do all the work you can behind the scenes and when you can't get the results on the field and you're on the bench, it's pretty hard. But as I said, it's nice to be back and getting back on the winners list. And yeah, I hope we can sort of carry this on and you never know what can happen at the end of the tournament. (121 opening stand with Chris Lynn) I feel like most interviews. I do always mention Lynny and how good he is to bat with. Just a really calm head and really smart batter out there to about with, certain balls that we wanted to target and a certain shorter boundary, and it's always nice to see him get going which he did today, probably a bit quicker than I did. So it definitely takes the pressure off. And a lot of the other boys, you know, Rossi (Ross) and Pope, having come in with that intent, Alex Carey. So, definitely put some pressure off me when the guys come in and play their way and show some intent. It all came off pretty well tonight. (Dropped on 86) Oh, look. It's an old teammate Ness (Nesser). He loves it out here. But all those things happen, whether it would have changed the (game) result. I'm not too sure (laughter). We tried a few things with the ball there at the end. Guys playing their first games for us. Just put them under the pump even though there were some Tail enders for the Heat. We bowled guys like Haskett and Buckingham just to give them that experience at the end there and that'll be better for it. It was nice to get that a good bowl. And it's a great result at the end. (Playing Sixers and Scorchers next) Is Steve Smith playing the next game? (laughter) It's obviously a big challenge there too. Two massive teams that have been really good for years. So we move on now. Move on tonight and move to the Sixers. I think we're back here (Adelaide Oval). It's always going to be another good crowd and I'm hoping for another show for them."

871 runs were scored in the doubleheader games today. Yes, folks, you heard correctly. 871 runs! I hope the BBL fans had as much fun as we did during today's huge run fest, but it wasn't too much joy for the Heat at the Adelaide Oval. For the first time, they sent Nesser to open in the second innings when Munro failed to bat in his usual position. His batting promotion didn't assist Nesser, who had a terrible night at the field and with the ball. Heat lost their opener, Nesser, in the second over of the innings. McSweeney got off to a strong start, hitting four consecutive boundaries, including a six against Haskett. Max Bryant and Matt Renshaw attempted to duplicate their exploits from the previous game, but the Heats' chances were not favourable tonight. In actuality, the Heat hitters couldn't handle the mammoth target. D'Arcy Short's 100th BBL match saw him take four wickets. Pope and Haskett both grabbed two wickets. Adelaide Strikers' significant victory tonight puts them in seventh position with a positive net run rate. Conversely, the Brisbane Heat maintained their fourth-place standing despite a significant decline in their net run rate. The top four slots are still up for grabs for all the teams, so the next few days will be quite competitive!

NKR Jr.: "After a relatively slow start with the bat this Big Bash, we have finally seen 4 massive totals in 1 day and 2 magnificent centuries."

Adelaide Strikers won the match by 56 runs
