Scorer: Ranjith P | Commentator: Shashwat Kumar

10:48pm That will be all from us for this game. Until next time, from Ranjith and (myself), it is goodbye!

Jamie Overton, Player of the Match: (On if they had the chase under control) Like to think so. First game, always want to get over the line. Tough place to come - they are one of the best franchises in the world. (On the conditions) We were happy at half-way. Felt a little stoppy, a bit of extra bounce. If you get off to a good start, assess the conditions and then stack up the back end. My third season here (at the Strikers), love coming here (to Adelaide and Australia). One of my favourite places in the world.

10:44pm Not the most clinical run-chase ever, but the Strikers get the job done. Scott played the standout innings, mustering 51 off 32. Overton largely held his nerve, although he would be kicking himself for getting holed out with only six needed for the win. Short, Sangha and Ross got starts but could not capitalize, which meant the lower order, including Wood, had to stand up.

The Sixers will feel they just could not get enough wickets in spurts. They had their moments, but most of them came after the Strikers had brought down the run-rate. Chohan and Edwards, though, were impressive and the Sixers will take heart from that, despite now being 0-2 this season.

Kerr to Wood, 2 runs, Wood lifts it over the ring, and the Strikers win against the Sixers at the SCG for the first time in the last eight years! Full outside off. Wood holds his shape and his nerve. Goes through the line and pops it over extra cover. Brace completed comfortably and the Strikers are on the board at the first time of asking!

2 off 5 now

Kerr to Hasan Ali, 3 runs, a wild mow across the line, and it lands safe! Banged into the track on the stumps. Hasan jumps out to the leg side and swings at it with all his might. Shanks it but gets it over mid on. Decides mid-way that he wants to come back for the second and makes it, by the barest of margins. A frame in that, but Hasan stays, despite a not-so-elegant dive!

Five needed still. Strikers might be feeling a touch nervous now. Kerr to bowl. Five in the ring, not be choice

Perry to Hasan Ali, 1 run, low full toss on off. Hasan digs it out to long on and keeps strike

Hasan is the new batter in. 6 off 7

Perry to Overton, OUT, straight to long off - oh my! Slot ball outside off and Overton's eyes light up. He wants to finish this contest with one blow but cannot get under it enough. Hits it well but flat and straight to Kerr. Overton is livid, but he only has himself to blame here!

Just six needed now. One hit away basically

Perry to Overton, no run, full outside off. Overton slices it towards backward point. Vital dot

Perry to Overton, FOUR, almost a stunning catch! Full outside off. Overton moves across his stumps and shovels it towards deep mid wicket. Davies lunges forward but cannot quite get there. Cannot stop the boundary too!

Sixers have run out of time, meaning that only four fielders are allowed on the fence now
