10:48pm That will be all from us for this game. Until next time, from Ranjith and (myself), it is goodbye!
Jamie Overton, Player of the Match: (On if they had the chase under control) Like to think so. First game, always want to get over the line. Tough place to come - they are one of the best franchises in the world. (On the conditions) We were happy at half-way. Felt a little stoppy, a bit of extra bounce. If you get off to a good start, assess the conditions and then stack up the back end. My third season here (at the Strikers), love coming here (to Adelaide and Australia). One of my favourite places in the world.
10:44pm Not the most clinical run-chase ever, but the Strikers get the job done. Scott played the standout innings, mustering 51 off 32. Overton largely held his nerve, although he would be kicking himself for getting holed out with only six needed for the win. Short, Sangha and Ross got starts but could not capitalize, which meant the lower order, including Wood, had to stand up.
The Sixers will feel they just could not get enough wickets in spurts. They had their moments, but most of them came after the Strikers had brought down the run-rate. Chohan and Edwards, though, were impressive and the Sixers will take heart from that, despite now being 0-2 this season.
2 off 5 now
Five needed still. Strikers might be feeling a touch nervous now. Kerr to bowl. Five in the ring, not be choice
Hasan is the new batter in. 6 off 7
J Overton c Kerr b Perry 30 (36m 20b 3x4 1x6) SR: 150
Just six needed now. One hit away basically
Sixers have run out of time, meaning that only four fielders are allowed on the fence now
