- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.1 massive lbw shout first ball, and the finger goes up! That looked plumb! Slanted in full on middle and off. Harper, without really getting forward, tries to swipe it across the line. Misses it completely and the ball smashes into his back pad. The umpire's decision was swift and Harper, rightly, decides not to review! Early blow for the Stars! 0/14.3 straight to Richardson! A tame end to a sprightly innings! Another off-pace delivery, bowled full outside off. Duckett thinks he can pop this over the fence but the lack of pace means he does not get any sort of power. Picks out Richardson to perfection at long on, and the Stars lose their second! 32/26.5 that is a catch, and that is another wicket for the Renegades! Zampa gives it a bit of air, full outside off. Webster does not get over it, nor does he get under it enough. Smashes it straight to Sutherland, who completes the catch reverse-cupped in front of his face! 45/44.4 edged and gone first ball! The Renegades are on fire! Length ball pushed across the batter outside off. Rogers goes fishing at it without any constructive footwork and gets a healthy nick through to the keeper. O'Neill on a hat-trick; Stars in a spot of bother! 32/37.3 that has gone a mile up, but it has not gone a mile far! Right in the slot outside off. Stoinis sets up for the big hit down the ground but does not get all of it. Almost touches the roof and when it comes down, Richardson is under it at long on. Snaffles up the chance right on the fence, and Stoinis' fun is over! 55/519.1 chopped on! The Maxwell classic does not have the ending it deserved, but everyone at the stadium and at home will stand up and applaud an epic! Shortish outside off and this skids on a little low. Maxwell hacks at it and gets an inside edge that lights up the stumps. Maxwell raises his bat as he walks off, and this innings, irrespective of what happens later in the game, will be talked about in Melbourne, in Australia and pretty much everywhere around the cricketing world! 158/99.2 Richardson in on the wicket-taking act straightaway! On a short of a length outside off. Cartwright looks at the width and throws his hands at it. The ball, though, skidded off a shade quicker than he expected and might have bounced extra too. A thick outside edge and Seifert gobbles up a sharp chance. Stars sink deeper into trouble, right on the stroke of drinks! 63/610.6 a direct hit, and has Paris been run out?! If he has been, this is superb from Dixon! Fired in full outside off. Maxwell opens his bat face and glides it towards short third. Dixon swoops in, gathers it one-handed and then throws down the stumps, with Paris a metre short of his ground. Did he take that single too casually? Whatever the case, that was an excellent bit of fielding, and the Stars lose their seventh! 75/718.3 straight up, and taken! Three dots in a row, including a wicket, with Maxwell still off strike! Follows the batter outside leg with a length ball. Mir has an enormous whoosh across the line and gets a fat top edge. The ball swirls and swirls, and Brown does the rest at mid wicket! Maxwell is gutted and frustrated at the other end! 156/819.6 goes high up, and taken at long on! Zampa drops it short after seeing Siddle advance. He has a go at it anyway but gets it right off the toe-end. Sutherland settles under it at long on and makes no mistake. - BATSMENRBM4s6sSR1.6 what an amazing grab by Usama Mir, and he is off on his celebratory run! This is a full toss on the pads, begging to be hit. Brown tries to clip it away and hits it uppishly towards mid wicket. Mir judges it to perfection and lunges forward at the right moment to pick it up inches off the turf. The Stars are jubilant; the Renegades a little more mellowed! 11/21.4 leading edge snared by Duckett at backward point! Back of a length on leg stump. The ball seems to swerve away late and that squares up Harris as he was looking to work to leg. Lobs up off the leading edge and Duckett settles under it to hand the Stars their first breakthrough! 10/17.3 JFM bites the dust! Full outside off and JFM's eyes light up. He looks to tonk this over wide long on but this time, gets more height than distance. Cartwright tracks it all the way from long on, settles under it in the wide long on region and pouches it! 44/44.3 knocks him over! Paris has his first for the evening! Angled in on a back of a length on leg stump. Comes in with the angle and Bethell, backing away, looks to defend. The ball kisses the outside edge and then cannons into the top of leg stump. Strange, strange shot-selection and the Renegades are reeling! 22/313.1 Seifert perishes too! The Power Surge is sucking all the power out of the Renegades! Hard length just outside off. Seifert opens up his front hip and hacks at it. Gets a good chunk of it but not enough to clear mid on. Regulation catch and this game is slipping away from the Renegades now! 78/612.3 Siddle breaks through, and the old gun still has it! Speared in on a length on middle and leg. Sutherland gives himself room, trying to go inside-out. Only swishes at thin air, though, and hears the death rattle of leg stump soon after. Siddle is pumped; Sutherland, utterly dejected! 76/516.2 miscued and Maxwell takes it. Of course he does! Dug into the track on middle and leg. Dixon looks to smash it into next week but loses shape slightly. The ball gets a little big on him too and he splices it a mile up. Maxwell watches it all the way and completes the catch in front of his face! 101/813.3 another soft, soft dismissal! Back of a length on middle and off. Seems to stick in the surface and Rogers, trying to work to leg, is too early into his stroke. Spoons up off the leading edge and Duckett takes an easy catch at cover point. It is all falling apart for the Renegades now! 80/719.5 that will be that! The Stars win the Melbourne Derby again, and they haul themselves into the top four! Full outside off. O'Neill tries to smash it into the top deck and mistimes it completely. Goes straight up and Duckett does the rest at mid wicket. Handshakes and embraces in the Stars camp - they were put under severe pressure but in the end, they have cantered to the finish line! 123/1016.3 two in two for Steketee, and five in the innings! That is another splendid catch! Full on the pads. Zampa does not really transfers his weight forward and flicks it uppishly towards deep square leg. Rogers judges it to perfection and dives forward to snap it up just off the ground. Renegades nine down now! 101/9Extras20 (b 8, lb 2, nb 2, w 8)TOTAL123 all out (19.5 Overs, RR: 6.2)Fall of wickets: 1-10 (Marcus Harris, 1.4 ov), 2-11 (Josh Brown, 1.6 ov), 3-22 (Jacob Bethell, 4.3 ov), 4-44 (Jake Fraser-McGurk, 7.3 ov), 5-76 (Will Sutherland, 12.3 ov), 6-78 (Tim Seifert, 13.1 ov), 7-80 (Tom Rogers, 13.3 ov), 8-101 (Harry Dixon, 16.2 ov), 9-101 (Adam Zampa, 16.3 ov), 10-123 (Fergus O'Neill, 19.5 ov)
