That's it from the first game of today's double-header. Switch over to Royal Challengers v Delhi Daredevils which will be under way in about 15 minutes. Good night, from here, and see you soon.
Glenn Maxwell: "Nice to start off with a new home ground and get some joy. We haven't had fruitful seasons recently so it was nice. It was a clean slate for the team, we came with blank minds and had plans for all their batsmen. We can't control the past, only the future. We practiced well and got around 230 in one of the practice games, so it felt nice to restrict them to 163. It's better to chase here, to know how to pace it and keep wickets in the back end."
Glenn Maxwell is the Man of the Match.
Steven Smith: "Probably wasn't quite enough. The wicket hardened up a bit, came on a bit nicer in the second innings. Was hard work in the afternoon, wicket was a bit tacky. We needed more, but we did well to get what we got after our start. We probably needed to play a bit more aggressively, without fear, should have gone a bit harder. 160 was reasonable, but we probably needed more than that."
Suresh: "If these two play like this, surely Kings XI have a chance like 2014, but missing Sehwag's starts."
7.25pm Pune remain win-less while batting first. Their total, 163 on a good batting pitch, was really not challenging enough today. Kings XI got themselves into a bit of trouble after their promotion of Axar Patel went wrong for them, but Maxwell and Miller did what Maxwell and Miller are renowned for, putting on an unbroken 79 off 52 to steer them home comfortably. Maxwell ends up with 44 off 20, and I now realise Miller faced seven balls more than his captain today.
One to win now.
Two to win. Will this be the last ball? Mid-on and mid-off inside the circle.
Stokes around the wicket to Miller.

12 off what was a fairly decent over from Dinda. Such is life in the IPL.

Here's the glorious, prancing headband, Ashok Dinda.
Prashant: "M&M candies should hire these two for endorsement"
