11.35pm RCB were too good tonight. They batted Lions out of the contest with a 200-plus score, and their spinners were terrific on a tough pitch to bowl on. The Lions fought and scrapped but couldn't quite get enough in the end. Negi and Chahal tied the batsmen up, and made them hit in the areas they wanted. RCB have lifted themselves off the bottom of the table, but the Lions have been perched there.
Presentation.
Chris Gayle is the Man of the Match: "I like that name(UniverseBoss). He's back. Even better to be back in the field. Fans want to watch Chris Gayle, it's been fantastic. It all depends on how you feel. Determination is important. A special occasion to reach 10000 runs. A lot of guys spoke to me about my stance. Even Shaun Pollock spoke to me about my stance. You're never too old to learn. People still looking out for Chris Gayle. The UniverseBoss is still here and still alive."
Virat Kohli: "There's a lot of strapping on the shoulder, not getting to my head anymore, shoulder fit and fine. Happy to get those two points. People told me it's just one run, but I won't change my attitude, I've played my cricket like that. Chris took his opportunity beautifully. He batting like that allows me to bat through the innings, and I can chip my way out. We thought we were 30 runs above par. Negi was outstanding, very brave, not getting scared. Not many people believe in his abilities. Chahal is not scared, his biggest plus point is he always wants to take wickets."
Suresh Raina: "We played well, we batted well. 200 was chaseable. More than 200 is difficult to chase. Our bowling giving too many runs. They (bowlers) have to vary their pace, bowl slow. It's a worry for us, the spin department."
