11.25 pm What an extraordinary match! Umran Malik takes a sublime five-wicket haul and somehow winds up on the losing side thanks to Rashid Khan's heroics, which upend his former side. The half-centuries by Abhishek and Markram, and Shashank's blistering final over cameo, also end up on the losing side somehow. Rashid magic turns the tide at the finish line!

Kuldeep: "What a prediction @Krishen!!! You time traveler!!!"

Jeetu Sangwani: "Rashid can!!! Rashid can!!! Rashid can!!!"

Sunrisers captain Kane Williamson: "It was a fantastic game of cricket that ebbed and flowed throughout the whole 40 overs really. From our perspective, when you have two really strong sides that are playing good cricket going at it, the game is played at very small margins. As we saw going into that last over, it could've gone either way. So great learning for us as a side, first time batting first for us as well, so a lot of good learning. Another strong performance against top of the table opposition. Fantastic finish [in the first innings] and Shashank has obviously been in the side for five games now and hasn't quite had an opportunity, so he came out and played beautifully well and gave us a great opportunity to post a strong total. But credit to Gujarat. They played outstandingly well. They're a side that are winning some of those fine margins at the moment and credit to where they are on the table. But for us there was a lot of good in that game and we'll take the positives. [On Umran Malik] He's sort of been bowling beautifully really and making a difference but it was only a matter of time before he would have a day like this. An outstanding performance from him, a match-winner there. [On Rashid Khan vs Marco Jansen] "He's got some of the fastest hands going around. So if you're not quite on the money, the ball can fly anywhere and go a long way. He's done it already in this tournament and he's done it again today. We tried to get our plans right and get it out of his zones but the margins are fine. When the pressure is on, there's a lot of learning to be had and we were not quite there. Our death bowling for us has been outstanding throughout this competition, but with two strong sides, these sorts of things happen and credit to Gujarat. It was a very good performance. [On Marco Jansen] He's a strong competitor and he'll bounce back nicely. It's one of those things. T20 cricket, as we know there's been some close games and this was another one of those. For us, the focus is about the cricket that we want to play and it was another good performance. We didn't quite get the win but sometimes you're beaten by a better side or perhaps a side on the day that wins some fine moments."

Man of the Moment Rashid Khan: "The feeling feels good, but at the same time you just have it in mind to go out there and have the self-belief, keep my shape strong and hit it. I was happy to do it against them, but I was just trying to play my game and have the belief in my batting which I've been working on the last two years. [Heading into the last over mindset] When it was 22 left, I just told Tewatia that we have given 25 in the last over with our best bowler Ferguson. We just have to have that belief in ourself. If we have one missed ball, don't think about it and don't panic. Just stay strong and we need to finish it or get as close as possible because it might help us with run rate. But as long as we have that belief, anything is possible. Just stay there, keep your shape and hit it strong. So that was our plan and luckily we had those four sixes. [On Rashid's bowling] I haven't bowled as good as I should have done. I bowled four or five bad deliveries which have been punished. On a wicket like this, you can't miss your line and length and that is something which I have done and Abhishek finished it off. This was a good wicket to bat on. Still we bowled really well to restrict them to 190. I felt it was a wicket of 180+. I haven't bowled as good as I should have been but this is something that is good for my learning and something I will try my best to not repeat in the next games. [On being at Gujarat] I think it has been very calm and cool. It's very relaxed. Everyone has been doing great. It's a great team to be part of. Most important is that everyone knows their responsibility, everyone respects each other. We have been given positive energy from the captain, and especially the head coach Ashish bhai, I think he has kept the team in a beautiful environment. It's all about having good memories outside of the ground and then just focus on the game. We're enjoying each other's company and give 100% to enjoy the game. I'm so happy to be a part of this but most importantly to win the game and these two points will help us."

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya: "I think God is telling us I'll help you guys. But it's happening quite often that by the time the main games come, we might run out of luck. But it's been fantastic. People are stepping up. A lot of credit goes to the support staff, the kind of environment we have kept. A lot of people get a lot of freedom. It's very chilled out. There's not much pressure given to the players. A lot of pressure is taken on by the leadership group. Everyone is stepping up and doing justice to what they represent. I'm trying to manage when I should bowl in important games. It's a long tournament. I don't want to get too excited. I don't have to show how I'm bowling. Whenever my team needs it as required, I'll come back and bowl as well and same with Rahul [Tewatia] as well. He's ready whenever the ball is given to him. [On Saha] Fantastic. A lot of experience and he was batting fantastic throughout the tournament. It was just unfortunate a couple of games he got out. Last game I was asked about the opening partnership and I think today it was a fantastic start by Shubman and Wriddhi and Wriddhi played some amazing shots which helped us. [On Rahul and Rashid at the end] We are quite practical as well and talk about winning the right situations. We always back them because they have a lot of self belief. We have intentionally tried to make sure that the dugout or in the dressing room to keep the atmosphere calm because it helps the players play their best game. A lot of credit goes to the support staff."

Player of the Match is Umran Malik in a losing effort for his sensational five-wicket haul. [Translated by SRH assistant Hemang Badani] "The idea was just to bowl as fast as I can. The ground is slightly on the smaller side so the idea is to stay on the stumps, mix the pace and try to keep the ball within the stumps. [On targeting 155 kph] God willing if I have to bowl 155 kph, I will do it one day. But at the moment, all I want to do is bowl well."

That's it for today's live coverage, come back tomorrow for more live IPL action on ESPNcricinfo. On behalf of my tag team commentary partner Sidharth Monga, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!

Jansen to Rashid Khan, SIX, Rashid ends it with a six over fine leg! Jansen tried to bounce him, didn't get it nearly short enough, Rashid gets inside the line to this 125 kph delivery and launches it over Natarajan's desperate leap on the boundary! Rashid may have been the goat tonight with the ball, but tonight he's surely the G.O.A.T. with the bat!

vigneshwar: "where is that guy who told Rashid to hit 6 of final ball". I don't know, but I'd like him to buy my Powerball tickets tonight. Three to win off the final ball. Two for a Super Over.

Natarajan to Tewatia, no run, yorker on fifth stump at 136 kph, Tewatia swings over the top of this trying to heave to the leg side.

Cricguy: "Everyone speaks about the waist height 'no-ball' referral to 3rd umpire.. They should also consider runs scored on the overturned out call..... What if GT lose by a run." I've never liked the double standard on runs that don't count on bad decisions overturned.

Natarajan to Tewatia, no run, yorker on middle and leg, looked like it was going down leg live as the flick is late and the ball shoots off the foot through fine leg. Appeal from the bowler but no support from the keeper but the umpire gives it out! DRS called for immediately, and rightfully so. No way was this hitting the stumps. Shocking decision. The ball pitched outside leg, hit outside leg, was missing leg. Tewatia stays but a leg bye is denied.
