That will be it from us for this game, the penultimate match of the IPL. 73 gone, one last big one to go. Chennai v Bangalore. Do join us for it tomorrow. Till then, this is Abhishek Purohit signing off. Cheers!

Ash: "Tommorow- IPL VS UEFA championship Finals: Lets see who wins... Irresistible... " Irresistible is the word.

Chris Gayle is the Man of the Match, ho hum. Gayle: "I had a lot of fluids today, was not feeling well. Mayank took some pressure off me by facing Harbhajan. This is one of the most successful runs of my career, hope I can do it one more time tomorrow. Sweetest victory would be to beat the home team at home."

Dan Vettori: "It is a continuation of how we have played most of the season. It's certainly not easy to bowl to Gayle, he has been a great asset for us. Our opening bowling was a big plus today, Aravind was able to take early wickets again, whatever Mumbai threw at us, we were able to counter with good bowling. Conditions are going to suit Chennai tomorrow, it will be a slow track."

Sachin Tendulkar: "I thought the way Gayle started, that set the tone for them. We came back strongly in the last ten overs, they may have ended going above 200. We ended up giving 15 runs extra, 170 would have been par. I felt it was possible. This is a high-scoring game, it was within our reach. I thought it was a good track, it was coming on nicely, but in the middle overs we got stuck. The middle order I felt could have been more consistent, but it could not happen."

Hang on for the presentation

Chris Gayle: "Lasith and Harbhajan are their key bowlers so I was looking to be a bit tentative against them. The outfield was very quick and wicket was good to bat on, it held up a bit when they chased, so we don't know what to expect tomorrow."

Zaheer Khan: "We have one win, Chennai have won the other, tomorrow is the decider. We have been playing well throughout and deserve to be in the final. Once we lost against Chennai, we were pumped up to see them in the finals. The pitch worked in our favour, the hot and humid conditions did not hold the pitch together, we did not expect it to deteriorate so quickly."

A disappointed Sachin Tendulkar shakes hands with Chris Gayle and congratulates him. All went downhill after the opening over of the match for Mumbai. Sachin had Malinga, Munaf and Harbhajan, he opted for Nechim, who went for 27.

Leo: "Today Mumbai Indians actually played like INDIANs of 90's, wayward bowling and absolutely zero batting after Sachin."

Prashant: "So the IPL trophy either stays where it is or travels a mere 360 kms."

Ali: "it is evident why SRT could not be a successful captain at international level, removing your strike bowler malinga after one over because he was hit for 9 runs and then not budging from his old school strategy of keeping the super hitter pollard for the end instead of letting him play at the top..unique circumstances require unique solutions."
