That ends Rajasthan's league engagements and they now have a bit of a break before they play their playoffs game. Should do them good, as they now await one of Bangalore or Hyderabad. That also ends my stint at the commentary tonight, hope you had a decent time. Thanks for all your comments too, have a very good night!

---------------

Hyderabad win by 23 runs in the end, with Rajasthan almost never looking like they were in the game chasing that score of 136. The required-rate kept creeping up all the time and the loss of wickets made it even more difficult for them.

With this win, Hyderabad now have 18 points (check points table here) and they go two clear of Bangalore. This not only means that Punjab have now been knocked out, but also that Bangalore needs to win their last game against Chennai in order to remain in the tournament.

mik: "Surprise to see no appreciation for Biplab Samantray. The lad has top scored and won two matches for Sunrisers. Proud of our this Oriya lad :)"

vikram: "This results means that CSK and MI are the top two teams this ipl...so they will play the qualifier 1 and also are into the champions league...."

Ravi Varma: "What if hyderabad is in 4th position after all the matches and wins their next three matches(Qualifier 1,Qualifier2 and final) ? they still not eligible for champions league?" The winner of the Eliminator match will go through to the main draw of the Champions League along with Chennai and Mumbai. The losing team in that Eliminator will qualify for the Champions League qualifiers.

Hari: "You didn't mention this. This RR's loss made sure CSK and MI will end up in top two and will play the first qualifier." Yep, that too, thanks!

Presentation:

Dravid: Showed some good intensity on the field, probably were a spinner light for this pitch. Credit to them for scoring those many, Mishra bowled very too well too and we got bogged down in the middle. Have struggled on wickets like these, slower and lower ones. Hopefully will have better wickets in the playoffs.

White: Never smooth sailing against Rajasthan but we fought hard here. We knew we were not too far away from a defendable target, bowled and fielded well here. Credit to the guys for keeping their calm.

Amit Mishra, man of the match: I want to thank the crowd at Hyderabad, getting a lot of support. Not only me, the entire team is doing well, getting confidence by their encouragement, I thank god, for allowing me come back from injury and working hard.
