11.04 pm Jasprit Bumrah's epic five-wicket haul winds up on the losing side. Mumbai made a real mess of the chase and wind up bowled out with 15 balls to spare.

Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma: "We would take that total any day on that kind of a pitch. To see how things unfolded in the second half of the innings for us was a great effort from the bowling unit. Bumrah was special today. But I'm disappointed with the way we batted. I thought it was a par score on that pitch but it was a little poor from the bat from us. We're playing our fourth game here so we know what to expect from a pitch like that. There were a few balls that took off, but that happens. We know seam bowlers will get help, but we didn't bat well, didn't get partnerships and that was something missing from our side today. Looking at how they batted in the first 10 overs, I think they were 100 in the first 10 or 11 overs, but the way we came back was brilliant. Bumrah was special. Great effort from him and the entire bowling unit. The batters let us down today. That's been the story for us. The consistent performance from both departments has been missing. We couldn't do it today."

KKR's Venkatesh Iyer: "I was dropped for a couple of games. Coming back and opening the innings was good. The most important thing is we won. That's what feels good. Irrespective of what you contribute, if the team wins, naturally you feel happy. It's important to contribute to the team, whether I bowl or field or bat, you always want to contribute to the side irrespective of whatever skill you are trying to do. Fielding is something very important to me, so is bowling. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of overs, but whatever overs I get, I ensure I do the job that the captain wants me to do. Batting, I think it's my job to go out there and give the team a good start. I'm happy I did that today. My intent is always positive and aggressive. Sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't. But T20 cricket, you always have to maximize those first six overs. With the middle order we have, it's very important for us to get a good start so they can contribute."

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer: "If you see the matches that we lost previously, especially the past game, we lost by a big margin. So to come back and winning a game with a really big margin is a satisfying feeling. [Feeling at the innings break] We got a great start in the Powerplay, Nitish the way he hit sixes off Pollard he saw it was the right over to take on, but I felt it was difficult for new batsmen to get in and get going. When we came out to bowl, we said early wickets are going to cramp Mumbai Indians. [Number of changes in the squad] It's really difficult. I was also in that position once when I started playing IPL. We discuss with the coaches, CEO is also involved in team selection, Bas goes to the players and tells them if they're not playing. All of them are very supportive of the decision-making. The way they turn up to the ground, each and every individual in the playing XI, it's something to be proud of as a captain. The way we played with high spirits and a good vibe, I'm proud of it. The win was comprehensive. The players were charged up to win the game. The previous games have not been great for us. It plays on your mind when you're on the losing side. I'm not satisfied but I want to keep up with the same momentum to come back strong in the other games."

Player of the Match is Jasprit Bumrah in a losing effort for his 5 for 10: "When you contribute with wickets it's always a good feeling, but the very important thing is to make the team win. We got into a good position but midway through the innings the pressure creeped on and we lost the game. But it is the way it is. It's a good day. I got wickets and we were able to execute whatever we wanted to. I don't look at numbers or goals. My main aim is to follow the process and have a good mindset. That was there from the start of the tournament. I can in with a good rhythm, was bowling in good rhythm. Sometimes you don't get wickets, but that is the time you have to have faith in your process and that's what I was doing. You don't want to be desperate and go for the glory. So that's what I was doing, helping the team in whatever capacity I could. Sometimes that is bowling economically and sometimes the day is yours when you get wickets. You take the learnings from this season and try to rectify it for next year. That's what we're doing, trying to find the positives wherever we can and go hard in whatever games are left."

That's it from our coverage today. On behalf of my partner on the commentary S Sudarshanan, I'm Peter Della Penna. Come back tomorrow for more live IPL action. Until then, take care!

Russell to Meredith, OUT, Back to back runouts end it! Length ball into the hips, goes to tap and run into midwicket. But Rinku is on the scene to charge, field, and fire from 12 yards out, his momentum taking him toward square leg before unleashing a skiddy one-bounce direct hit with one stump to aim at and catches Bumrah a yard short.

Russell to Pollard, 1 run, OUT, dropped! Mile high skier is fumbled by the keeper! But they will get the runout in a chaotic sequence! Length ball on the stumps, Pollard goes to heave this over midwicket and skies this behind the stumps. It swirls round and round where Jackson is twisted in knots before diving forward and can't hold on. But full credit to the awareness of both Chakravarthy and Shreyas. They never stopped playing. Chakravarthy was prepared for a possible drop and backed up Jackson to field and throw to Shreyas, who alertly covered the striker's stumps and has Pollard short by several yards.

Celine : "Smash sixes Polly. If not now, then when? Methinks if Pollard does not hit some good runs NOW then he'll not be much in demand at the next IPL auction."

Cummins to Kartikeya, 1 run, OUT, length ball on off stump, shuffles way across for this 139 kph delivery to flick behind square. It was the final ball of the over so they wanted an even numbered outcome. Dot, two, four or six. But Pollard wanted the strike for the next over and that's the only reason Kartikeya came back for two because it was never on in a million years. The relay catches him short by six yards.

Cummins to Kartikeya, 1 run, length ball on middle and leg, chips this just short of mid-on and they set off for a dicey single. Direct hit from the mid-on fielder from 20 yards out is going to the third umpire but he's just in by a few inches.
