Raina, Hussey consolidate No.1 spot

A predatory mauling that lasted for most of Chennai Super Kings' innings set up a mammoth 77-run for the visitors, who ruined Sunrisers Hyderabad's perfect home record and placed themselves on the very brink of another playoffs berth

That's that then from me, a surprisingly one-sided game tonight. Hopefully we will have something better tomorrow. Have a great day/night ahead, ciao!

Presentation

Dhoni gets the 'Nayee Soch' award for some innovative field settings. He had a couple of mid-ons in place.

Kumar Sangakkara: Dale Steyn bowled the right length, the others bowled a bit short and did not get the yorkers out. We know it's a bad performance, cannot think about this one, just move ahead.

MS Dhoni: Just like the last game where nothing worked for us. Raina unlucky not to get a 100, but lucky to get to 99. As I said before, we didn't really play the last game. Last game was a good wakeup call. Hussey has been brilliant, among the few cricketers who hasn't changed too much, does not play too many slogs. The only other batsman to do that is Rahul Dravid for the Royals.

Dhoni also hints there may be some changes in the team for the next game. Especially in the bowling.

Raina, man of the match: God has been kind, we won the game. Thanks to the fitness trainer, he's been doing a lot of work with us. Hussey's been very honest, working very hard with all Indian cricketers, good environment in the dressing room. Hope to keep up the good cricket.

--------------------

77-run win for the Super Kings. Hyderabad will know it all went wrong with the ball. After a good tournament with the ball, they have dished out a very ordinary bowling performance tonight. They now go up to 10 wins from 13 games. Hyderabad remain at fifth with 14 points but their NRR has taken a beating.

--------------------

islandhopper: "Holder can be easily dropped for Faf given Chennai have 6 other bowlers (including Raina and Jadeja), given Holder has not done much and given Vijay's form. Oops....forgot to add given Faf can be the 7th bowler! Talk about an imposing batting line-up."

Abhigna Mandavilli: "What is Sangakkara's role in the team again?"

Sai Ashish: "For what ashish reddy is there in the team ?? he didn't get a chance to bowl a single over.. and even they sent ishant ahead of him to bat.. Is he injured ?.."
