Scorecard
Centuries by Suryakumar Yadav and Aditya Tare helped Mumbai set Madhya Pradesh a mammoth target of 571 on day four in Cuttack.
Tare, who sat out the last match with a finger injury, celebrated his return with a 199-ball 109 with the help of 16 fours and one six. Suryakumar took the same number of balls to make his 115 that comprised of 20 fours and one six. The pair added a steady 217-run stand for Mumbai's fifth wicket. After both batsmen fell in quick succession, Abhishek Nayar drove Mumbai to set MP a target of 571 - the highest in a Ranji Trophy semi-final since Karnataka set Uttar Pradesh a 615-run final innings target in 2009-10 - with an unbeaten 73. Shreyas Iyer also chipped in with a brisk half-century, during which he became fifth player to score 1200 or more runs in a Ranji Trophy season.
In response, MP lost Jalaj Saxena and the in-form Rajat Patidar cheaply. Aditya Shrivastava, however, steadied MP with a patient half-century that took them to 99 for 2 at stumps.
