Lancashire dominate meeting of T20 experts

No counties have better records in T20 since its inception in 2003 than Hampshire and Lancashire. But it was Lancashire who dominated this semi-final to set up a clash with Birmingham in the final.

Well quite a turn up for books there, Hampshire, the T20 kings, have been hammered and lose a second consecutive semi-final. They didn't get the best result from the D/L calculation but this chase has been very poor indeed with only Jimmy Adams getting himself going. Lancashire did well to recover from their disastrous start with the bat and it's been a very good defence, especially their fielding. Warwickshire v Lancashire is the final, coming up in about half an hour, so a quick turnaround again, stay with us for part three of Finals Day...

Clark to Wood, OUT, full just outside off, Wood slaps hard and finds mid-off!. That will do for Lancashire, another catch in the ring, a mistimed drive, chipped straight to the fielder and the Red Rose captain has taken the winnings catch

CP Wood c Horton b Clark 5 (7m 7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 71.42

Jordan Clark into the attack for some reason with the opposition nine down and two overs to go...

Anderson to Adams, OUT, slower, 75mph, on the stumps, Adams aiming leg side swings into the long boundary but doesn't get enough of it and picks out deep midwicket. Adams has played nicely but it's been only him contributing, he eventually holes out, easy catch in the deep
