2.2 gone! Massive wicket. It was there to drive again, but Carberry didn't keep his shot down and picked out by Roy as he timed his jump perfectly at point 8/1

4.1 full and straight, Vince swings down the ground, misses and is bowled! Immediately strike for Dernbach and it's a big wicket, two big guns for Hants back in the hutch early on. Just a little inswing there for Dernbach, right up there and Vince played a slightly airy attempted lofted drive and missed 32/2
9.1 cleaned up! Two stumps knocked back. A yorker, although Adams did play across the line of a straight delivery and middle and off are pegged back. In fact, I did de Bruyn a disservice. It was an excellent delivery, some late movement 58/4
5 length ball swinging in, McKenzie aims a flick into the leg side, misses and is given out lbw. Double blow for Dernbach, what an over, it hit McKenzie pretty straight, was it heading down? He shuffled across the stumps and Hawk Eye has it going just down, maybe the batsman was unlucky 38/3
16.3 picks him out! Careless from Ervine. He just tried to place this over the leg side, but gets the placement wrong, it comes off the top edge, and finds Ansari at deep square who takes it low by his bootlaces 115/7
12.5 Ansari hits back! Dawson uses his feet but only manages straight to cover. Solanki just had to jump a little to take the catch 85/5
13.5 reverse sweep brings his downfall! Hit by a low full toss in front of middle and leg. Perhaps not the wisest choice of shot in such a position 96/6
18.2 and another. Hampshire falling away. Mahmood banged the ball in short outside off, Mascarenhas eyed up a big hoick over the leg side...the ball goes very high off the top edge and eventually it's long-on who settles under it 130/9
18.1 swings to leg against a length ball, it glances off the pad to the keeper and there's a run out...Mascarenhas called him through for a leg bye and Wood caught well short at the non-strikers end. Not pretty. Wood looks a bit miffed. 130/8

1.3 gone! That flew out of the middle, but he picks out deep midwicket who didn't have to move. Was back of a length, Roy eyed-up a leg-side mow but the placement was poor. Smart field setting, too 9/1
2.3 and another! Game on. Short of a length outside off, Davies tries to go over the leg side again but can only pick out mid-on with a limp pull. Half-hearted shot, really. Wasn't one thing or the other. 17/2
9.5 well, well. Did he need to do that? Maxwell comes down the pitch and tries to clear long-off, but it plinks off the bottom of the bat and it falls in the lap of Ervine 71/4
7 nicely bowled! Straighter delivery from Briggs traps Solanki right in front. Vital blow for Surrey. He played across the line and was in front of all three 53/3

16.1 what a catch! McKenzie has pulled off a blinder. Wilson opted to go big, he aimed over the off side and sliced off the face over backward point. McKenzie turned and ran backwards, kept his eye on the ball and did just enough to get underneath it 111/5
16.2 now there's a run out appeal! And he's gone! Hampshire are right back in this. The ball ran off a thick outside edge to point, they thought of a second but Mahmood was sent back and turned quite slowly. He stretched for the crease, and Wheater took the bails off with his forearm but had the ball in his gloves so that's okay. And Mahmood is an inch or two short 112/6
