Ireland take just four deliveries on the final morning to complete victory in their first match of their 2015-2017 Intercontinental Cup campaign against UAE at Malahide Cricket Club.

William Porterfield's men take all 20 points on offer after batting UAE out of the match on the first day thanks to Ed Joyce's double century, then Craig Young and George Dockrell were the standout bowling performers as Ireland took 19 wickets on a flat batting track in windy conditions on the second and third days.

After completing the victory by taking the wicket of Mohammad Naveed on the final morning, Ireland's thoughts will turn to the World Twenty20 qualifying tournament, which starts on 6 July and will be jointly hosted by Ireland and Scotland.

Day 4: Hello and welcome to coverage of the fourth and final day's play of the Intercontinental Cup tie between Ireland and United Arab Emirates from Malahide Cricket Club.

Play resumes this morning on a cloudy morning in Dublin with UAE on 251-9 following on, so Ireland need just one wicket to complete an innings victory while UAE need 28 runs to make William Porterfield's team bat again.

It has been raining overnight at The Village, so there will be an inspection of the wicket at 11am, but umpire Chettithody Shamshuddin says he does not expect the start to be delayed for too long as it has not rained for the last 45 minutes.
