Right, that's it from this game folks. The second match of the evening is starting shortly.

Presentation

Andrew Gale: "I thought we were 15-20 runs short. When we started to get some momentum we kept losing wickets, and we were sloppy in the field as well. Loved playing in the Champions' League, thanks to the messages we got from our supporters."

Raina: "We bowled really well. MS told me to enjoy the captaincy, it was a good opportunity for me today. The ball came on slowly, and it was holding a bit.

"Disappointing that we didn't qualify. We could have won this Championship, but we're going home."

Badrinath is man of the match: "The ball wasn't coming on, so we decided to take our time and we had a couple of partnerships and that's what got us home. Once you take your time, you can play your shots."

"We were unlucky in a couple of close games - ten runs either side. But we'll come back stronger next year."

Priyadarshi Mishra: "Strangely all the IPL teams are coming back to form after they have been knocked out !!! Wonder if their earlier losses had something to do with pressure." Perhaps - or maybe they just took too long to adapt to the conditions in South Africa. Teams used to playing on fast tracks with a little bounce have prospered in this tournament.

Yorkshire won both their qualifying matches, but end without a win in the main draw. Like KKR, CSK have secured a face-saving but ultimately meaningless victory.

18.6
1
Wardlaw to Saha, 1 run, another yorker, and it wasn't a stylish shot, with Saha falling over, but the ball dribbles to square leg and the batsmen scamper one. That's enough for CSK.
18.5
W
Wardlaw to Dhoni, OUT, another helicopter shot attempted, but he missed and Wardlaw was full, straight and fast. Hits middle and off, but you'd think it won't matter at this stage.

MS Dhoni b Wardlaw 31 (32m 23b 2x4 2x6) SR: 134.78

18.4
0
Wardlaw to Dhoni, no run, full toss on the legs, hits Dhoni's pads and the bowler appeals. Going down leg though.
18.3
4
Wardlaw to Dhoni, FOUR, full and straight, Dhoni gets the helicopter shot out and whips that over midwicket to the fence. One more to win
18.2
0
Wardlaw to Dhoni, no run, slower ball, fuller and wider of off stump, goes under Dhoni's bat
18.1
0
Wardlaw to Dhoni, no run, low full toss outside off stump. Dhoni drives but can't beat mid on

END OF OVER:
18 | 11 Runs 1 Wkt | CSK: 136/5 (5 runs required from 12 balls, RR: 7.55, RRR: 2.50)

  • Steven Patterson3-0-22-2
  • Iain Wardlaw3-0-18-1
17.6
4
Patterson to Morkel, FOUR, short of a length, and on off stump, Morkel rocks back and pulls that in front of midwicket for four. Not all that short, but a lot of power in that shot.
17.5
0
Patterson to Morkel, no run, angled across, length ball, Morkel pushes that to point

Morkel walks in. 9 to win from 14

17.4
W
Patterson to Jadeja, OUT, full and on the legs again, and Jadeja hits it straight to short midwicket. Ballance gets low and completes a good take, but Yorkshire aren't celebrating. They know CSK are on the brink unless they do something special

RA Jadeja c Ballance b Patterson 5 (5m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 125.00

17.3
2
Patterson to Jadeja, 2 runs, full and on the legs, flicked square to fine leg
17.2
1
Patterson to Dhoni, 1 run, full again, but straighter this time, knocked down to long on
17.1
4
Patterson to Dhoni, FOUR, drilled! Absolutely murdered that one. Full and outside off stump, Dhoni gets low and blasts that past cover for four

END OF OVER:
17 | 9 Runs 1 Wkt | CSK: 125/4 (16 runs required from 18 balls, RR: 7.35, RRR: 5.33)

  • Ravindra Jadeja3 (2b)
  • MS Dhoni22 (16b)
  • Iain Wardlaw3-0-18-1
  • Azeem Rafiq3-0-26-0
16.6
2
Wardlaw to Jadeja, 2 runs, on leg stump again, whipped away and the deep fielder has a little work to do this time
16.5
5lb
Wardlaw to Dhoni, 5 leg byes, fullish and on leg again, and oh dear! Four more overthrows from short fine leg. I think that is leg byes as Dhoni didn't seem to have bat on it. It ricochets to short fine leg who throws wildly and it goes to the cover fence
16.4
0
Wardlaw to Dhoni, no run, full and on the pads, Dhoni tries to push that to legs but misses
