Superb innings from Shoaib innings given that the pitch was not an easy one to bat. It needed someone with experience to manouever the ball around and keep the score ticking. The win was set up by Hurricanes' disciplined effort with the ball that had restricted the Tridents to 113. The loss here for Tridents means they are out of the race for semis along with Cobras and Northern Districts. Time to move over to the other match.
"One thing was in my mind that in this slow pitch, someone had to bat through," says Shoaib Malik. "If they had taken those catches, things could have been different. But credit must go to our bowlers."
"The guys gave a good effort, still we dropped a couple of catches," says Rayad Emrit. "That probably cost us the match. Still there were not enough runs on the board."
Xavier Doherty is the Man of the Match.

Tankzim brashee: "Shoaib's knock has been so good on so many levels, for starters against his own club. Secondly the fact for a naturally aggressive batsmen he has just hit the one four but still managed to score at close to a run a ball. Also he has Hobart on the brink of victory and perhaps a spot in the knockout stages. Well done Malik !"
