That brings an end to game one. Harsha Bhogle says that if the KKR-Somerset game ends with a margin of victory of less than 12 runs, both will go through. Let's see what happens there. Do slip across to that commentary tab.

Presentations:

Chandimal is Man of the Match: "I played my normal game since we lost three wickets in the early overs. I had a target of 145 for this wicket, but Shalika played really well to take us past that."

Udawatte: "Glad to see us finishing with a win. I knew our guys will come back hard in the end. The spinners did really well. Chandimal is one of our key players. He kept his cool after the early wickets and saw it through."

McDonald: "We got the start we wanted, and probably should not have lost after the way Razzaq played. It was a pretty poor campaign, but it was a good experience for our players. We wanted to chase it in 16 or 17, but our plan B was to try and ensure we win. But we couldn't even manage that."

The winners of the Friends Life t20 are out of the tournament. Paul Nixon can breathe a sigh of relief, for he can finally begin to enjoy his retirement. Ruhuna stay alive, but barely. A reasonably close game between KKR and Somerset will put both of them through, and knock Ruhuna out as well. But, for the moment, they look pleased as punch. This was Leics' game to lose when Razzaq was going bonkers, and their complete inability to play spin did them in.

GACR Perera to Henderson, 1 run, Ruhuna take victory and they celebrate like they have won the tournament. Good tight length ball outside off, Henderson hasn't looked like the sort of guy that hits last-ball sixes, and doesn't surprise. He bunts a single past mid-on.
19.5
1
GACR Perera to Naik, 1 run, Naik gets a single, gets under a length ball sufficiently to haul a single to long off. Six needed off 1.
19.4
0
GACR Perera to Naik, no run, and a dot ball now. Naik moves across to off stump and tries a dainty tickle to the leg side, the leading edge goes right back to the bowler.
19.3
1
GACR Perera to Henderson, 1 run, another single. Just not enough! Full ball on middle and leg, driven to mid-off for a single.
19.2
1
GACR Perera to Naik, 1 run, back of a length outside off, the slower ball takes a while coming and it is cut without timing to cover. Only a single.
19.1
1
GACR Perera to Henderson, 1 run, full length ball outside off, Henderson chops it close to the stumps and they get a single.

Perera for the last over. His only over so far went for 10. That's exactly what Leics need now.

Shivam: "Both teams contriving for a close finish have unknowingly played in the hands of Som and KKR. They will have to work much less to achieve the NRR, as compared to the situation when one of these teams had a comfortable victory." Exactly. Unless that game is a comprehensive pounding one way or the other, this result could become inconsequential now.
