Scorer: Sanjay Murari | Commentator: Kanishkaa Balachandran
Presentation:
Harbhajan: "We bowled well after the first ten overs. Treat to watch Pollard and Karthik. Great fight shown. A kind of pitch you can hit shots off good length balls. Proud of the boys. Whenever we play CSK it's always a good game."
Dhoni: "It was important to guide Jadeja. Matches like these really groom a cricketer. Hilfenhaus was right on the money. We took the gamble of giving the later overs to the spinners. We could have got another 15 runs. 170 plus two runs makes a difference."
Hilfenhaus is the Man of the Match: "After watching the way their seamers finished off the innings it gave us an idea of where to bowl. Variable bounce tonight. It's quite hard to defend on this ground."
That's it from us here. The cricket continues tomorrow. Thanks for the mails and your company. Cheers!
9pm: There was only pride to play for, but both teams gave us quite a humdinger. Dinesh Karthik refused to believe Mumbai were done and dusted after a sluggish start. In the process he exposed weaknesses in Chennai's bowling. Ashwin and Jadeja leaked 91 runs between them.
By the way, where was the rain that was supposed to show up?
Aks: "Ashwin should get the man of the match here.. He leaked enough runs, to make everyone know how important his last ball six was!"
Malinga walks in. Nothing at stake for these teams but they're fighting tooth and nail
