11.20pm Presentation time. Daniel Flynn: Exceptional performance with the ball, with Tim and Trent setting the tone, and the openers set up the chase. [Main draw] should be fantastic. The boys have really enjoyed the atmosphere."
Scott Styris is the man of the match. "We've been trying to get into this tournament for 4-5 years. Now we have some very good young players. Kane Williamson is a quality player, and the two quicks are world-class."
11.15pm Mumbai lost too many wickets, and asked too much of their lower order, says Kieron Pollard. "Most teams, when they come to India they want to beat Mumbai Indians so they bring their A game. [Knights] fielded well, we could have had 150-160. They could have relaxed but they didn't, that's their professionalism."
Kane Williamson: "We started off the competition a bit shaky [with our fielding], but we know we are a good fielding outfit and it was great to put up a good display in the last two games. It's great to go into the main draw and hope to keep the confidence going."
Imran: "Yeyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lahore Lions Won the Match!!!!"
11.10pm Emphatic win for Knights, who were on top from start to finish. Their new-ball pair gave nothing away, and Styris tightened the screws with his three-for, before Mumbai's lower order took them to a decent but ultimately inadequate total. Dew didn't help Mumbai's cause, but they hadn't put enough runs on the board in any case. Excellent batting from the Knights opening pair, particularly Williamson, whose footwork and strokeplay against the spinners was simply brilliant to watch.
