Commentator: Siddarth Ravindran

The only time Kings XI looked in trouble in this match was when their top order came out swinging at every ball, and losing some early wickets. But that man Maxwell did the job again, in a low-scoring encounter he again played some flamboyant strokes to score at a strike rate of nearly 200 to change the game. After that, Perera and Bailey finished off the jib.

We knew Kings XI have plenty of power in the batting department, but their bowling was also pretty good today.

Tim Paine: "Didn't get off to a good start with the bat.. with the ball we gave it a good crack .. "

Mohandas Menon tweets: "In the last 10 overs not a single Indian player was on the field just 12 Aussies, 1 Pakistani and 1 Sri Lankan #KXIPvHOB"

Glenn Maxwell: "I suppose today was a bit tough, they have a very good fast bowling cartel coming at us taking three wickets early, Bailey and Perera have loads of experience, this was a sort of pitch on which it is tough to tell what is a good score."

Kings XI co-owner Preity zinta tweets: "Yeah! What a game by the #redlions So happy 2see how well #kxip boys performed. Welcome Perera & Anureet 2 the den".

Presentation ceremony:

George Bailey: "A terrific innings from Maxy and TP there, it takes some courage to come out when your team is in a bit of trouble and go for your shots. I think Hobart have a very nice team, they lost today but they can challenge. Anureet Singh didn't get much of a chance in the IPL with a broken thumb, he was outstanding with the ball, that one over at the death. We (Kings XI) slotted back in really quickly, not our best game with the bat but we will get better."

Man of the Match is Thisara Perera: "I'm really happy to be back in the side, last year I had international duties so I couldn't play much. Everyone expect me to bowl (well), then the batting." Perera is beaming all through that interview.

Aakash Chopra tweets: "I'm a fan of KXIP's brand of batting...only IPL team that goes on the offensive from word go & doesn't slow down. Hugely entertaining #CLT20" It certainly came off today, and they have opened with a comfortable win over Hurricanes.

That's a wrap from us tonight , thanks for all the mails, see you all tomorrow. Ta ta.
