11.20pm And that is that. Bit of an early finish, and an opportunity to rest those fingers. Hope you enjoyed the game. I certainly enjoyed bringing it to you, and all of that chat about doppelgangers and whatnot. Until next time, it's ta ta and good night.

11.10pm Time for the presentation.

Tim Paine: "Can't fault that bowling effort, as good as we've bowled for some time. I thought Shoaib and Aiden played really well to get us out of a disastrous start. [When I got out] we were probably looking at 15-0-160. I thought if we could take early wickets against them, some of their guys haven't batted much in the qualifiers or their first game, so we thought we might get them under pressure."

Ben Hilfenhaus is the man of the match "I think it was very well set up by Blizzard and Malik. Fantastic effort, gave us bowlers a pretty good chance. It's quite funny, I thought it came out better the other day but I was hit everywhere. There was a bit of movement and assistance, and it was good to get the overs out of the way and not get tapped around at the end."

Aiden Blizzard: "It was quite tough out there. I knew if I hung in there, I knew Shoaib Malik is coming in, he's in superb form, I knew we could get a big total. It was a little two-paced, some were skidding on, some were stopping. I was able to go under the radar for a little bit. Shoaib is on fire, we're glad to have him."

Daniel Flynn: "The way those guys [openers] have been playing, we just backed them to pull off their game plans, it didn't just work for us today. We've got another big game in a couple of days, we look forward to that."

11.05pm Till today, Northern Knights' middle order hadn't been properly tested. Today it was, and the batsmen haven't passed the test. Chasing a big target, they lost Williamson and Devcich cheaply, and from there it was all one-way traffic. Hilfenhaus swung the new ball beautifully, and the other bowlers chipped in as well, Doherty getting a few to really grip and turn and Bollinger sweeping away the lower order in a hurry. Knights' net run rate has plummeted from +4.5 to -1.94.

Bollinger to Southee, OUT, backs away from the stumps, and slaps this high and straight into long-off's hands, and Bollinger finishes with three wickets. This is a humongous win for Hurricanes.

Bollinger to Sodhi, OUT, now he looks to clear his front leg and slog it over midwicket. It's too quick for him and he slices it high into the air over the off side, drops into the hands of cover point

Bollinger to JJ Boult, OUT, low full-toss, and today they are all going to get you wickets. He makes some room, and hits that straight to cover at a nice catchable height

Nayeem: "Once in ICL they tried introducing a "Niner". All that Northern Districts needs is some "Niners"" They could also win it playing Cricket Max, that form of cricket invented in New Zealand. Didn't they have double the runs if you hit it in one particular zone down the ground?

END OF OVER:
