Commentator: Justin Smyth
When the end came it came quickly. Losing their last last 6 wickets for only 18 runs. Once Porterfield and O'Brien lost there wickets there wasn't much support from the rest of the team. Shanaka was the pick of the bowlers and is only the 12th bowler on ODI debut to take 5 wickets. Its a shame that there is no Man of the Match because he would have won it.
It's another comprehsive win for Sri Lanka over Ireland, this time by 76 runs on DLS. Sri Lanka take a 1-0 lead in the series. Luckily we will not have to wait long for the next game, Saturday back here in Malahide. When we have been told that it will be sunny. No promises though.
That just leaves we to thank you for following my commentary today and I hope to see you all again on saturday. Until then this is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from Malahide. Goodnight.
