8.1 short, Joyce looked to pull but didn't time it, didn't commit to hitting over the infield and Brad Hodge takes a really good catch with a full-length dive to his left at midwicket 34/1
18.3 Mal Loye is run out. Bell steered it straight to backward point where Hayden picked the ball up and threw down the stumps at the striker's end ... Loye was not in the picture and even had Hayden missed Gilchrist would have had time to complete the run out. The calling was indecisive and the stop-start running calamitous 79/2
25.4 block and run into the off side, Hussey sprints in, picks up, twists and throws down the stumps at the striker's end and Bell is well short. Australia's fielding coach gives it out and the third umpire agrees. Great fielding but again a sniff of indecision in the calling 112/4
19.3 loose drive outside off stump, minimal footwork and Gilchrist holds an edge at chest height to his left. A good delivery which seemed to pick up some zip off the pitch 86/3
46.6 with third man up, Collingwood tries to reverse sweep but the ball glances off the face of the bat and Gilchrist barely has to move 231/6
42.6 superb reflex catch ... driven hard back at Lee, right into his hands, and he does really well to cling on to it in his follow through ... it was at a perfect height but it was travelling 209/5
47.3 Nixon almost converted that into a yorker but he squirted it to longish-on. Dalrymple turned for the second but Nixon sent him back far too late, the throw was good and Gilchrist took the bails off with Dalrymple yards from safety 233/7
49.6 full toss, launched right down the throat of the man five yards inside the rope at cow corner. McGrath gives a wry smile and a shake of the head as his team-mates leap on him. 246/8

6.1 massive start for England! Beautiful delivery from round the wicket, tailing in late, beating a loose drive from Gilchrist and clipping the top of off stump! Perfect resumption from Plunkett, do England have the CB Series trophy within their grasp? 39/3
3.1 slower ball, Hayden falls into the trap and drills it into Collingwood at short extra cover and he holds a good low catch. He didn't have to move to the side but it was low and was travelling 25/1
4.2 GOT HIM! That's a massive breakthrough, and it's all credit to Plunkett there. Perfect line and length, just outside off and swinging away again, Ponting pushes with hard hands, and Andrew Strauss at slip takes a fine low catch! 33/2
6.6 GONE! What an over! On the spot again, hint of movement, Clarke went for the drive, Nixon pouched the edge, Australia are all over the shop on a rain-juiced wicket! 40/4
25.3 full length, Hodge drives well but uppishly and straight to Ian Bell on the 30-yard line at extra cover. He hurls the ball into the night sky as Hodge's head sags ... 139/8
11.2 That's massive! A fraction wider, Hussey - who had played no shot at his last six balls from Flintoff - took a big swish, and Strauss at a lone slip made no mistake whatsoever! 63/5
20.6 Oh my word. That is a brilliant catch. It was wide, Watson drove it uppishly to the left of backward point and Dalrymple leapt full length and took a one-handed catch four feet off the ground. There were gasps from the crowd as that was replayed. 109/6
24.4 Hogg tries to repeat the shot but Collingwood bowled that wider and he had to reach for it ... he didn't get hold of it and it looped to Flintoff at wide midwicket and he took an easy catch 132/7
