Mandhana is Player of the Match: I was quite nervous after 90 but my partner helped me keep me going and my partner Mona told me not to play a rash shot. This knock is special because we were chasing and my first hundred we lost the match (against Australia), and this comes in the World Cup. Everyone has a career goal but right now we're focusing on each match. My birthday is on 18th July so my jersey number is 18.
Mithali Raj: Very pleased with the way the girls responded with crucial runouts even though there were couple of lapses in th field (drops). A very good knock from Mandhana. I was hoping the seamers would utilise the conditions after we chose to bowl. But maybe it wasn't the day and the spinners did exceptionally well to bring us back. We need to work on our catching, fielding is very crucial and it can win us matches. We needed a partnership and lost two early wickets so it was important that two of us among the runs got one going. I told Smriti not to play any rash shots because another wicket would have been crucial.
Stafanie Taylor: Disappointed after I thought we got a good platform and it's the second time it's happened. We need to do some work there. You'd think that's where you went wrong (when the spinners came on), not rotating the strike and there were too many dot balls.
Mithali Raj has headed to the boundary with a smile to sign some autographs and we are going to head home now. Thank you for joining us today on a double header, it's goodbye from Vishal and Annesha.
Kapil: "@Spidercam - You cant blame the viewers when the broadcaster doesn't make proper arrangements and decides to show highlights of the previous match as opposed to the live match !!! "
Prakash: "As Proud of the Indian Women's team as the men's.. Superb performance by all..!! A treat to watch the shots they play
4.52pm Handshakes all around, hugs in the Indian dugout as they canter to their second win in as many matches. Mandhana gets a bear hug from Jhulan Goswami as soon as she crosses the boundary. Mithali Raj is smiling ear to ear too as she walks onto the field, she fell just four short of a record eighth straight half-century. The win today was set up by the Indian spinners, bowling with fearless flight and immaculate lines to strangle this powerful West Indies line up. Matthews had given them a strong start again before Ekta Bisht, Deepti Sharma and Poonam Yadav took over to bowl just 30 overs for just 69 runs
Pawan verma: "Another win for the Indian girls. Mandhana you little beauty, you're just 2 years older than your jursey no. (18) and playing like a 30 year old who knows every in out of the game. Blessed with such young cricketers Indian cricket has a long way to go."
Spidercam: "Go Mandhana Gooo! It is a shame Women cricket does not receive even 50% viewership as mens'."
