Varied, unorthodox Sri Lanka hammer West Indies
A delightfully unorthodox Sri Lankan attack working at close to its best handcuffed a power-packed West Indies line-up, conceding just 129 runs even though they got just five wickets in the 20 overs

Sammy: The bowlers bowled really well to us. NZ game is a must-win for us. We are always a boundary hitting team. We bowled too short and wide. The SL bowlers bowled fuller and we didn't do that enough.
Jayawardene: "Overall a very good effort. When they were going after our bowlers I just kept changing the bowlers. Once we got through the first 12 overs I told Kumar we should finish this as quickly as possible."
Jayawardene is also the Man of the Match.
The big one's coming up tomorrow - India v Pakistan. Before that, Australia v South Africa. Your Sunday's packed.
That's it from us. Thanks for the mails and your company. Cheers!
End of match: That's SL's best win in T20 internationals in terms of balls remaining - 28. After Australia yesterday, we've witnessed yet another comprehensive thrashing. Really disappointing from WI's point of view. Their dependence on Gayle was exposed and the rest were never quite good enough to challenge the hosts. There were too many rubbish deliveries.
Not taking any credit away from Sri Lanka. Their fielding was sharp, the bowlers didn't give away too many scoring opportunities and the batsmen never looked in trouble.
Pop dancing, Mexican waves, fireworks, big hits, and a flag of Japan - you can see 'em all in a T20
There is a strong argument for Sri Lanka to move Mahela Jayawardene, who looks to have hit top form at a vital stage of the World T20, permanently into the opener's slot in limited-overs cricket
Sri Lanka have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their nine-wicket win over West Indies in the Super Eights clash at Pallekele on Saturday
