11pm Quotes

"I felt like I played well to get us up to a good score," said Jos Buttler, the player of the match. "It turned out to be a fantastic game. We needed Stokes to hit that last ball for six as well, too, him hitting that last ball for six
and that fantastic over at the death."

"A little tight," admitted Morgan. "After our first 3 or 4 wickets to take them so early was fantastic. The seamers thrived on the conditions tonight." Unfortunately, the mic was broken so we didn't hear clearly from Angelo.

That's all from us. If you've got nothing better on tomorrow, you might like Aus v India - a minor little scuffle. It'll pass the time though! Thanks for your company today, and goodnight.

An outstanding game. England held their nerve against some audacious Sri Lankan strokeplay, mostly from Mathews whose 73 was made off one leg. They got themselves very, very close; but two brilliant overs from Jordan and Stokes snuffed out Sri Lanka's fire. Breathless stuff.

Stokes to Mathews, no run, another yorker and Stokes roars his delight - England qualify for the World Twenty20 semi-finals

Stokes to Mathews, no run, swung to midwicket but they don't get a run - and England are almost home!

They need two sixes right about now

12 from 3 balls. This is pressure. This is real, real pressure

Stokes to Mathews, no run, dot ball another superb yorker!

Rashid got a hand to that. Just a fingertip but still. 11 from 3

Stokes to Mathews, 2 runs, scoops it just over Rashid at short fine-leg! Will it go for four. No.

Stokes to Mathews, 2 runs, superb yorker, dug out for two - crummy throw from Willey I think, wide of Buttler, and they get back for two

Stokes to Mathews, no run, full toss, bashed to cover. Dot ball

This is too tense Stokes to bowl the final over with 15 required for England to enter the semi-finals of the World Twenty20. Ha - it's drizzling now, too.
