7.2 lbw! Rohit was looking to turn the ball on the leg side but he was caught on the crease in front of the stumps as Badree slid one on with the arm, that looked pretty good at first glance. It hit the back pad. Gone. West Indies have their first wicket ... but that means ... 62/1
15.3 caught right on the edge of the midwicket boundary! Bravo is the catcher and he turns to the fans and does his champion celebration. It was a short ball and Rahane pulled it straight to the fielder, he hit it with the bottom of his bat 128/2

13.1 would you believe it? He has struck first ball! Can this man do no wrong on the field? The ball was short and it skidded on to Charles who went back and played a flat-batted pull of sorts, he lofted it straight to Rohit, who ran in from long off to break the stand. Incredible. Very ordinary ball, but clearly the force is with Kohli tonight 116/3
1.1 and that may be why! Bowled him! A low full toss, angling across the left-hander from over the wicket and swinging back in a touch, Gayle plays across the line and plays all around it, the ball crashes into the base of off stump and Bumrah wheels away in ecstatic celebration as the Wankhede roars. How that ball dipped on Gayle, how it bent back into him. 6/1
2.6 that is lousy batting, I'm afraid, Samuels has backed away outside leg, away from the angle of the delivery across him and then tried to close the face of the bat, the ball lobs up tamely off the leading edge and is caught at cover, such a tame dismissal, he was in no position to play any sort of shot 19/2

Match Notes

  • Test

Australia need only a draw to become the world' No. 1 ranked Test team, but they must contend with overseas inconsistency, a green pitch, and a Brendon McCullum farewell

  • Ashwin brushes off World T20 criticism

R Ashwin has sought to put in perspective his performance in the World T20 semi-final against West Indies in Mumbai, and even made a thinly-veiled observation that he didn't get the chance to bowl more despite creating wicket-taking opportunities

  • Dear MS: Wrong ammunition, wrong time

A letter to India's captain on that question and that answer

  • 'Home ground' helps Simmons feel wide awake

It's an amazing life Lendl Simmons leads. One day he is lounging at his home in the Caribbean, watching the World T20 from afar then he is winning a semi-final

  • Dhoni turns interviewer to quash retirement talk

In an unusual move India captain MS Dhoni invited a journalist to sit alongside him when asked if he was going to retire immediately after India were knocked out of the World T20 by West Indies
