That's all from our side for tonight. See you soon!
Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell: I am definitely disappointed The bowlers never executed as per the plan but credit must be given to Patriots. We didn't bowl enough yorkers, we didn't bowl enough slower balls. It's a quick turnaround. We go to Jamaica now for our home games.
Patriots captain Carlos Brathwaite: This win means a lot. A lot of people turned out tonight. We call it the fortress and we wanted to give them a show. We thought they were probably 20 runs too much. This win will do a lot for the team.
And for that blazing start, Evin Lewis is the Man of the Match. "Means a lot to me, chasing 240-odd," he says. "It was important we got a good start. I backed my abilities and it come out good. The guys are high on confidence after coming from a couple of losses."
10.00pm What a game we have had. Gayle's 22nd T20 hundred had helped Tallawahs to the highest team total at the CPL but Evin Lewis and Devon Thomas had other plans. They took the side to 100 in just 6.5 overs. Russell got rid of Lewis but not before the batsman had scored the fastest CPL fifty. Laurie Evans kept the scoring rate up before a three-wicket over from Oshane Thomas pegged Patriots back. Fabian Allen though kept his cool to take Patriots to an emphatic victory.
SSJ Brooks b Russell 27 (15b 3x4 1x6) SR: 180.00
Only 15 required, from 12 balls. Andre Russell to bowl the penultimate over
