That's all from us tonight. Come back tomorrow for the next CPL doubleheader. TKR is back looking for their eighth win taking on the Patriots in the morning game followed by the Zouks and Amazon Warriors in the early evening. I'm Peter Della Penna, thanks for following along. Take care!

Amazon Warriors captain Chris Green: "Perfect start. 20 odd for 8, fantastic start with the ball from all our bowlers. In T20 cricket there's always going to be a partnership so we had to hang in there, hang tough and I was really proud of the fielding effort. To get three runouts in a T20 game is fantastic. With the bat, we asked two guys to put their hands up and do the hard yards. Brandon King did that and then Nicholas Pooran continued his good form. For Naveen to come in the middle and be as consistent and clear as he was and execute his plans, to take 4 for 14 is an outstanding effort. He's been a blessing for this side. He's a young bowler who bowls with a wealth of experience. [On Kevin Sinclair] To bowl 8 overs straight, three overs through the Powerplay and then one outside, in back-to-back games on debut just shows his class. The last couple of games has given us a clear idea of what we want moving forward. It's good to see different guys putting their hands up at different times."

Tridents captain Jason Holder: "It definitely hurts. Two back-to-back performances that we've let ourselves down with the bat. I felt it was a tough wicket. Both sides found it difficult to rotate the strike let alone find boundaries. Under pressure, some guys are a little tense. When we find ourselves under a little bit of pressure, we need to take the positive route. Even though we lost wickets, I still felt we should have been trying to put pressure back on Guyana in some way. It makes no sense trying to bat out the overs and still get 80 or 90 odd. It's tough to trying to defend it anyways. I still think the bowlers did a reasonable job trying to defend it. We have to look at the next two as two finals. If we win the last two, we see how the table sits at the very end. Our next game is against Guyana again. We've got two days to get ourselves ready. So the guys have to go back and gee themselves up in some way and just play a little bit better. It's time for the batters to stand up and be counted."

Naveen-ul-Haq named Man of the Match for his 4 for 14, the best spell at Brian Lara Academy: "It feels great to contribute to a win. We needed a win to qualify for the semi-finals or be in the race so it felt great to contribute to my team. It's usually our spinners that do the job up front but today our strategy was this that I'll be bowling after the 10th over. When I saw the wicket, I felt it would help the seamers a little bit. I hit my lengths and luckily got four wickets. I think it's more important to get on a roll at the end and not at the start. Last year we won everything at the start but not the final. It's a very good look for Afghanistan. Many youngsters are watching back home and are encouraged to come here and play in the future."

8.35 pm Amazon Warriors win this with 20 balls to spare, it could've been two or three times that time remaining had they shown more ruthlessness in the field when they had the Tridents 27 for 8. As a result, Tridents have mitigated their net run rate damage while the Amazon Warriors only get a gentle bump. The two points for the Amazon Warriors though break their tie with Jamaica Tallawahs and they now own sole possession of third place on eight points. The defending champion Tridents are now in danger of missing the playoffs, stuck in fifth place two points out of a playoff spot with two matches left to play. Tridents NRR goes from 0.026 to -0.143, not bad all things considered. Amazon Warriors boost theirs a touch from 0.077 to 0.218.

Rashid Khan to King, 1 run, dropped! Walsh Jr is still battling with the target down to single digits! Googly lands short on fourth stump, King pulls this flat to deep midwicket, Walsh Jr reads it perfectly off the bat and charges in 15 yards before diving forward. Nobody else on the team would've even got to the ball but he gets fingers underneath this, unable to hang on though as the ball burst out when his elbows hit the turf. Brilliant effort.

Rashid Khan to Pooran, 1 run, good length ball on middle spins in, goes back to flick to midwicket. Rashid races to his left to field and fires to Hope in anger.
