Scorer: K Vairavan | Commentator: Ashish Pant
That will be it from us today. Thanks for tuning in. The CPL caravan will continue and we will be back as always. Till then, this is me Ashish Pant, signing off on behalf of Vairavan. Ciao!
Brandon King: Felt a bit of pain [in the groin] so I got off and thought will get some treatment. Springs and Fabian did very well. The bowling has been good in general and today was outstanding. They are two very positive guys and we want them to finish it off. He [Springer] has been incredible and he has been a great guy. He came out with positive intent. We are not looking at other results just want to control our destiny
Evin Lewis: It was tough for us. That's how it goes sometimes. It was pretty tough. Had a good start in the first 10 overs, last 10 overs were tough. His [Oshane Thomas] extra pace was about making it hit to the big side. [On Cariah] It was a fantastic innings. A promotion up the order. A lesser total would have given him a chance. Anyway, it's done and dusted
Player of the Match goes to Shamar Springer: I knew I was not going to start the tournament but kept myself ready. Mindset was to go there and settle things but not to slow down the tempo. I was lucky today. I feel a 100% fit right now. This is a low scoring ground. We'll be back tomorrow. Will get my body back to 100%. [On the chest roll] I wasn't going to do it. A few people were asking me to do it.
He does the chest roll again as a parting comment.
1.31pm And that's that! Ashmead Nedd, who had hurt his knee while fielding will not come out to bat. A much-needed win for Tallawahs, who break their five-match losing streak and keep their playoffs hopes alive with a 59-run win. Shamar Springer was the star for Tallawahs with the bat and he picked a wicket as well. Mohammad Amir returned after an illness and grabbed four wicket. A disappointing CPL for Patriots ends feebly. Tallawahs though have now moved to fourth place ahead of Royals. Both teams have one game to go, which will be played tomorrow. All to play for!
