Loses her shape a smidgen, though, and that means the bat face opens upon contact. Slices it tamely and Carter gobbles up the chance at point, high to her left. A very enterprising knock, though, and it has set South Africa up very nicely! 147/4

Seems an innocuous delivery but the ball sticks in the surface just enough to cause the miscue. Sarah closes her bat face too early and the ball pops up tamely for the easiest of return catches! 14/1

5.3 another leading edge, and Kathryn Bryce meets the same fate as Sarah Brycer! Fizzed in on a length on middle and leg. Kathryn thinks she can work this with the angle but the ball stops on her just enough. Spoons up off the leading edge and Tryon cannot believe her luck. A second simple return catch, and South Africa are well on their way now! 30/3

6.6 knocks her over with a gorgeous delivery! Crafty, crafty stuff from Mlaba. Flighted up nicely on a length on middle and leg. Lister hares down the track, only to realize she is not to the pitch of it. Continues with her attempted inside-out drive but only connects with fresh air. The ball spins past the bat and knocks back off stump. Mlaba is all smiles, and Scotland are now four down! 38/4

7.2 that will be that for Priyanaz Chatterji! Pushed in on a length on middle and off. Chatterji, rather ambitiously, looks for the scoop. Gets into a bit of a tangle and does not have the room she would have ordinarily wanted. Hears the rattle soon after, and de Klerk's cry of celebration a little later. 8.1 stumps disturbed again, and Mlaba has two! Floated up full just outside leg. Carter looks for the sweep but the ball is too full to be playing that stroke. The ball sneaks under her swipe, and then grips in the surface to spin back towards the stumps. Mlaba might not have planned that, but she will take it nevertheless! 45/6

11.2 oh, hello - put a cape on Sune Luus! Given a bit of air on a full length outside off. Jack-Brown tries to go downtown but does not get the elevation or the power. Clinks it to Luus' left and it seems for the longest while that the ball will evade her. Until....she flies to her left and grabs it with both hands. So many catches have gone down this tournament, but this is right up there with the very best! 56/7

16.1 a spectacular grab and this time, it is Anneke Bosch! Lobbed up beautifully on a fullish length outside off. Fraser skips down and has a whoosh at it. Cuts across it too much, though, and the ball swirls off the outside edge towards backward point. Bosch judges it to perfection and swoops forward to snare the chance! South Africa have been largely excellent in the field today! 82/9

12.4 plonked to cover, and Slater has to depart! Zipped in on a length on middle and off. Slater backs away and aims to crash it over cover. The bat face turns upon contact, though, and she chips it straight to Wolvaardt, who was never going to drop that. SA two wickets away from a huge win! 67/8

17.5 that will be that! Another smart catch to cap off a thoroughly clinical display! Off-pace again, hung up on a length outside off. Maqsood has a wild swipe at it and miscues it completely. The ball floats up off the leading edge and Mlaba dives forward to her left at short third to seal the deal for South Africa.
